How do I contact YT?
I forgot I can’t because they make it impossible to do so!
Instead, we have your channel to do so.
Therefore, here’s my question to YT.
Until they answer, I don’t know what to do.
I have a travel channel and pay for an AI voice to narrate my written script.
Do I have to click this AI tab?
I think not.
As I was asking the other time, why is that any different than paying a narrator to do so?
Unless YT tells me I specifically have to tick a box for that use, I will not do so.
Please tell me if I’m wrong or not.
These general (for now) guides leave plenty of room for interpretation.

You forgot to put link to the video you said you created with InVideo.
Isn't removing watermarks from an image an unethical or even illegal use of someone's work? I've seen several programs that do this and think if I used someone's image to generate income or for any reason, it would be a lawsuit waiting to happen. There are plenty of free images out there to use without watermarks. Am I missing something here?
There would be no changes because the most important thing is to have some kind of strategy (mine is using a bit of Famester), and to give people the content they want to see. It's always going to be like that, just like people buy products/services from companies that they need and want in their life. That's how life works in general, we tend to like something we desire and we don't have in our life.

Yes I am one of the worried ones. Unfortunately, I get discouraged when wanting to start a faceless RUclips channel. Most people say it is ok using a particular strategy but I have heard one or two negative stories. I hope I am not worrying any one.
I think it will be ok and don't worry too much 🙂 I think it's similar to how movies have a disclaimer saying something along the lines of "all the characters/events are fictional" so as not to confuse an audience and to protect the creators of the movie. I could be wrong but it's the overall picture I'm getting. The label doesn't mean bad it just seems to be necessary at this time for RUclips to utilize perhaps? The newness of it might just need some catching up for people and myself included because I could be reading it all wrong too 🙃

And, I think one of the most important things I got from this video for us as creators is "Adaptability" - AI is such a fast-moving ever-changing technology - we have to be flexible or we fade away! I'm already using AI in my visual effect work flow such as creating digital motion backgrounds. Soon, I won't have to spend a lot of money for 3D models. I can just type in what I want and it will generate it for me.
Thats quite some statement to say people ignoring AI will be left behind. Although I use AI for scripting and voiceovers, I still believe firmly that authenticity is perhaps more important now than ever before.
AI Assistants and AI productivity tools multiply time.
All else being equal … the creative professional using AI will have a speed advantage.
How could the creative professional that isn’t using AI keep up?
You could walk to your destination or buy a plane ticket and fly.

@@castielvargastv7931 They're not necessarily in the same areas of content creation. When Sean refers to "...the creative professional using AI will have a speed advantage", as I understand it, he's talking about the labor/tools part of the process, which is different than ideating, polishing, thinking of thumbnails, etc. If I have an idea for a animated video, and I ideate the whole concept, decide what characters, scenery, type of music, etc. that I want to have, but a tool auto transcribes, creates captions, or removes silences and umms & ahhs for me, that hasn't diminished my creativity at all.
That's different than someone who's going to use AI tools to intentionally be lazy about content creation and just schlock out some garbage. There will always be those people, just as there were before generative AI tools were publicly available.

What most people hear when it comes to ai is oh there is a magic box i can ask for everything i want and it does it for me. Thats exactly how they market es as well. They want the mass market and this means we will get many many bad tik toks and guys who want to male money with generic garbage

Quick question, for the video you made at the end that was fully AI where you used the voice cloner - would you have to disclose you used AI to generate your voice? I'm thinking of doing something similar but just wondered if we use AI voices whether that needs to be flagged. I'm assuming not I think it's main purpose in this policy is to stop say a politician"s voice being manipulated to say something he or she didn't say.....

Thank you for clarification Sean, I didn’t understand deeply few days ago when i watched this same video idea on vidIQ channel . I was confused what RUclips wanted in terms of utilizing Ai .
your voice turned out MUCH clearer and natural than mine did. Mine was about 11 minutes of audio using a professional yeti microphone. It kept putting in pauses until I sounded like Chandler on "Friends." Anxious for cloning technology to rapidly improve.
I uploaded a full 15 minutes of voice and the results were a lot better.

If you use a program like invideo AI or descript that has an AI generated voiceover using your voice, do you have to check off that it has AI generated content in RUclips? Do you have to do this if it’s just a voiceover that’s narrating an educational video or only if it’s making something that didn’t happen appear that it actually happened?
I was impressed with the AI voice clone. It sounded natural and not robotic. Very good.
Okay, so you said that we don't need to disclose when we publish videos that have TTS, but on X, Creater Liason said that you have to. What is the rule about TTS voice-overs?

RUclips is putting more small creators in my feed every day. I give them a full watch, like and comment, sometimes subscribe.

I posted some videos that include AI generated images (Midjourney) before RUclips created this policy. Does that mean I have to now go hunt through all my old videos and find which ones have AI content? I'm glad to know about the invideo service. I find it very amazing how they have software to detect such things but can't tell you which videos needs to be addressed when they demonetize your channel.

I'm not against AI and use it quite a bit myself, but I really hope that one day RUclips will auto-flag all videos that use AI in any form with a non-obtrusive (but visible) stat somewhere that just shows 'this video likely uses AI' or at least put it into the stats for nerds information screen with more detailed info like image/visual content AI checking and music/sound/voice separately checked. There's an absolute ton of channels out there right now making money and fooling people with extreme low-effort videos, while the people putting in the real effort struggle and don't get the respect they deserve.

I just started this 2nd channel. I'm making music using AI. I want to make my own music based on movies, TV shows & mainly Sci-Fi. I'm just doing it for fun for myself. If I can grow it & make some extra money it will be a great bonus.

As I use both Insta360 and GoPro and their "memories" and "highlight" auto editing features how is this going to affect my videos that I upload?
I do worry that the time frame for AI powered tools that can generate end-to-end that is higher quality that what I (or you) can create is measured in years, or months, not decades. It might be there already for faceless channels or for some types of Shorts.

Wow, imagine all of those people who spent tens of thousands of dollars and years of their lives learning how to edit so that some teenager can use AI to create videos. I went through the exact same thing with 12 years in college for writing just to come out, and everyone's a blogosphere junkie and /or self published. We are creating our own dystopian society by promoting the use of AI.
Any human can quickly tell when a "self-published book" on Amazon is just a regurgitation from ChatGPT. When art is created apart from people, it looses all its charm and humanity. AI creates something lifeless and plastic-esq. Smart people will use AI to help them improve their art, but I highly doubt AI will completely replace the creative field.
