Orion definitely sounds like the final journey towards the last boss, as the protagonist slowly climbs the steep mountain, finds a pitfall and recovers back onto their feet for the last stand. So epic.
Damn "Master of Puppets" would still slap as a beat for Mario in the 90s. Definitely a fun, fast and energetic. Like fighting a boss or fast moving level. Like the wind tunnel in Battletoads or those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Board riding levels.

But we are blessed to have what we have been given.
I thought I was the only one who wondered that! I agree what someone else said about Cliff and the black album. They would have probably remained a lot more technical and kept more of the prog rock elements. I also think their sound would have remained closer to the Lightning/Puppets sound, which I would have loved

If I had one criticism it is that the first bass solo on Orion should have been louder. It was lost in the sea of treble over. Other than that you’ve done an amazing job here.

Wanted to hear how you did Disposable. Much more true to the album IMHO. Sounds like you really pay attention to the recording, cuz i'm hearing a lot of stuff I only hear in my headphones...at least, when I was a kid. \mmm/

I don't think Lars and Co. would have been able to confront Cliff with much of their ideas ( ballads) for the black album.
