My packing is always done at the last minute, even if I know I am traveling! As a result I end up with too much stuff, and every once in a while things that don’t fit me! I think trying on outfits before packing is a must.
This could inspire me to me more intentional and organized with my packing.
I find it inspirational to buy a couple of packing cubes that I keep in my suitcase, a spa bag & a toiletries bag
Riesenthal has the BEST high durability bags, without the cost of Longchamp. I have an ancient black big Longchamp fabric bag, but I use itONLY for travel. I use it to put my coat, shawl & purse into overhead storage on trains & planes, so nothing gets damaged or lost. That way, I can tidily put my bag overhead on top of my carryon & easily get into it all as I need it en route
I find having a few things ready for me let’s me pack as I realize I’ll want something for the trip.

I especially liked the outfit with the light brown pants. They are the same intensity as your hair so they coordinate.

I love how you put things together. Always classic and “classy”. I used to travel a lot on business and when you over pack a few times and lug that suitcase around by yourself, you try to be more strategic. But it can be challenging; your video was great.

Just came back from a weekend in Ogunquit. Packed everything in a small backpack purse. Jean jacket, black Capri pants, black sleeveless top and Rocket dogs daisy sneakers for the day. Long blue ikat print palazzo pants with sapphire blue top, black cardigan and lipstick red flats for dinner. Red flowy sleeveless top with the capris and flats for breakfast at the Maine Diner. Then beach and the drive home.

Great packing video Beth. We just took a weekend trip and I must say that I did pretty good with my packing. I'm very happy to see you mixing silver and gold in your outfit with the black blazer. I always felt that they should all match and that's not always what I want to do. I'll be taking more liberties in the future.

Hi Beth, I was on a girls trip about a month ago and it took me forever to decide what to pack, I always pack way to much and never have enough room in my suitcase, this video helped me to be able to wear some of the same items more then once…

the first weekend trip is in the books and we had a ball! hope all is well.
I’m currently packing for a spa Winter Holiday over late December.
It is quite the challenge as a retiree: we don’t buy many seasonal event gifts, but we gift each other wellness spa holidays together, a massage, a facial. Those, some hydration & intense vegetarian saladbar’ing, we feel rejuvenated together.
The words ‘train case’ are underused, as are train holidays. If you’re retired, TAKE A TRAIN, it is so much more relaxing FFS & better for the environment.

Beth, seriously? I’ll need tons of practice for sure. I’d also have a lounge outfit/pjs, slippers/socks, undergarments, flat iron and let’s not forget the makeup and hair products. Then there are the accessories, scarf, jewelry, small clutch handbag, perfume, masks. Like I said l lots of practice necessary for me to lighten my load.
if it's a short weekend trip i do pack lightly. no scarves, i wear my jewelry, forgo perfume and bring a small clutch bag. but some people love to pack more than an overnight bag. and that's totally fine too.

I find that if I'm flying when I use a carry-on that doesn't have wheels winds up killing my shoulder. You don't? You have to have more than you showed for clothing in there. I find that my plane takes off on the last runway, always. lol
yes, when i fly my suitcase is a spinner. when i drive i' pack the Longchamp bag.

absolutely! style is always about what YOU love and feel comfortable in. but i think a flat sole boot would look terrific!
I disagree regarding look leopard outfit. Looks great as is. Bkack tights maybe in January. Yes, tall black boots would look nice too in late December, January, but booties look fine in fall with bare legs.

I love jackets and layering...it just looks so put together. But i get so hot!! 😳 and then, when I'm hot, i feel sweaty so I don't want to wear the same top twice. (I sweat without the extra layer :(()
