I believe I have the same computer model however though I believe the regulatory model number is wrong on the new battery they got from best buy I think it should say HSTNN IB90 because that's the number that the hp battery came with, I myself am struggling with my laptop not wanting to charge and after doing some research i came to the conclusion that the battery might be dead, hence i started looking for a replacement so im still in the midst of fixing it but if it helps anyone make sure to look at the model numbers and that you get them right since that could be what's hindering the system
Edit: turns out after putting in the new battery the charging port would still not light up, so I took the battery out and plugged in the charger into the port and it still wouldn't light up, does that mean that the charging port is faulty?
You need the battery model number
