You gave me great confidence to flip the back cover off. I have a box of cheap various thickness guitar plectrums from Amazon. They helped me get into the groove and work my way around for the back cover removal. The plectrums also came in useful for parting the Fan unit without having to cut the plastic retainers off... and also useful for getting the fan off - getting a couple in at 2 angles and then wedging other plectrums under the ones in place. Lubed - although the brass bearing came off with the fan blade - but easily pulled off for lubrication. Because I had not cut the retaining plastics - the fan casing clipped back in! Now fixed - and thanks!
Nice!
I wouldn't quite trust the fan cover clipping in because the plastic around it would have broken off some. I recommend a little tape just in case.
Works perfectly now! Can’t hear the noisy fan again, thank you!!

I don't have the screw drivers for this
Are you asking where to buy them?

Thank you Binh. My brother's name is also Binh. Both of our names means sunrise :) Great video. The only thing I would say is that I would use aluminum tape to secure the fan instead of packaging tape because of potential heat. But I'm probably paranoid and not an expert.
Yeah, packaging tape works perfectly fine. Kapton tape would be best if you're worried about heat.
I thought I would leave this comment for others who may have experienced the issue I did, which is the computer not powering on after this fan cleaning.
I took out the fan and had my computer unplugged, cleaned the fan, put everything back in, but the computer was completely unresponsive to every attempt at powering on. I thought I may have broke the fan but what I needed to do was unscrew the battery, take it out, unplug the cord, hold the power button for 15 seconds, put the battery back in, and plug the cord into the laptop.
Now I will say I do not know how long this will last as the computer briefly sparked and steamed before powering on in a very flammable way, it's running fine now, everything's working, including the fan, and I hope it will Stay this way, or at least just long enough for me to get important passwords and files off the laptop. I think what happened was that my laptop went into some kind of mode after being unplugged and messed with in the back so the "bios" needed to be reset? Idk I clearly don't have the best grasp of the tech but I thought I would just leave this solution here!
Edit: I also wanted to thank the creator of this RUclips video as he was very responsive to all my questions to a video month's old, I don't think I would have asked myself any critical questions without the back and forth we had in the comment section! I subscribed😎
Awesome, glad it worked out in the end. Hopefully no permanent damage was caused to the computer.
thanks a lot. Now it works perfectly!

Thank you so much, it worked perfectly. But I have a question😅 if I forgot to put tape, should I re open it and actualy put it?😅
Tape where? Usually tape isn't necessary.
Hi Binh, What's the correct fan part number for HP Pavillion laptop 15-eg107cl. Thank you!
Without seeing it, I wouldn't know, but possibly this? amzn.to/3ySCU8L
@@ItsBinhRepaired Thank you very much!!!

There seems to be space for dual fans but only one is used?
Yeah
@@ItsBinhRepairedso is it possible to add a second fan?
I don't think so
my dad owns a laptop similar to this . the fan grinded since it was brand new.. it hasn't gotten worse but is there a reason why it grinds?
New?! I'm not sure. Bad grease or something is touching the propellers.
no idea. i once tried to investigate the noise when i dusted the laptop but there's nothing wrong@@ItsBinhRepaired

Hey can I add 2 fans I se are a free space ther
That's for the models with dedicated gpu. Not sure if it can be added.
can another fan be added in the empty space on the left? i see 2 holes for screws located there.
If you can find one that fits and the board has a way to power it.
@@ItsBinhRepaired i have a hp pavilion 15 cs1063cl and i’m not sure if the board has a way to power it. Hp website doesn’t say much about the laptop in terms of upgrades
Yeah, likely not
Can i put 2 vantelator 😅 in the same time

Same computer same issues battery, fan etc
Same here 😂 HP is known for bad battery’s
Got 3 HPs all bad batteries
Sadly
We didn’t see it work after your repair.😮
It either worked or wasn't repairable.
Replaced a fan and now the lcd is just dim
Sounds like you fried the backlight circuit
.
@LL-hq3jd even if you removed the fan the computer would turn on. Is the computer getting power? If you disconnected the battery, the bios is being reset. Just leave it on for 10 minutes or so. It'll restart multiple times.
@ItsBinhRepaired hmm wow, that is really strange. I changed nothing with the battery. All I did was take out the fan, clean as you instructed, but now, for some reason, it's not turning on at all. Regardless, thank you so much for all your help. I really appreciated this tutorial!
No power at all?
@@ItsBinhRepaired Yup :( I have zero idea as to why. I actually took out the back again last night to see if anything moved or showcased any sign of powering up, but I click the button and absolutely nothing happens. I held it down for 15 seconds as well after charging it the whole night. The only issue before was the fan making a noise, to my knowledge, the battery and everything else was working fine, I was just trying to clean the fan. So I have no idea as to what's going on, i'm gonna keep troubleshooting though as I need some information on this laptop. I also took nothing out but the cooling fan, so I am just lost as to what happened between me taking it out and putting it back in, it's difficult to pinpoint when it lost power completely.
Might have to pull the drive out and access it externally.
