Very thorough. You can post this video a few times under different titles to get more views and to be more helpful to those of us that own HP 15 laptops! This is very thorough, simple, and easy to follow. It includes how to open up the back of the laptop, how to remove the DVD/CD drive, how to remove the battery, and how to remove the cooling fan, the DDR4 RAM and how to add more RAM, and how to remove the screen/top of the laptop! AWESOME! Thanks UberGeeks. You rock!

Excellent video. I knew my battery was going bad and needed to be replaced, but I had never realized how much the battery had swelled and was pushing on the keyboard and back panel until I watched your video. My old battery looked nearly identical to the one you removed on the video. Great step by step instructions. Finished the new battery install in about 20 minutes. Thanks for the visual help.

Good video, thanks, even though taking off the back cover is rarely as easy as it looks on a video (I watched three videos with HP's being absolutely worthless). Where this video excels is pointing out the screw beneath the top rubber strip. This video was the only one to mention that. Thank you and well done.

Great video. My laptop is a hp pavilion model 14-ce0505sa. About 2yrs old...Its not that old anyway but out of warranty. Battery needs to be replaced. I rang HP yesterday and they said theyd do it for 270euro. The laptop cost 800+. So just to replace the battery cost over a third of the laptop. Insane. Then I asked how much to buy the part and they said they dont sell parts and would only fix it for me. Yaaay so helpful. It was around that moment that I lost my mind !!!!! I finally got them to give me a number of a parts crowd but when I rang them they said they dont sell parts to individuals anymore...........Sigh...........After about 20mins of back and forth I got them to possibly sell me a battery....... First tho I have to check and see if someone with no techy skills like me can change it the battery... Your video suggests I can. Doesnt look too difficult. Fingers crossed. Tks alot

    very nice video brother
i have a little issue tho and I was wondering if you could help you
I use my laptop [ pavilion au 15-620tx ] throughout the day nowadays due to covid and its practically become like a desktop. Due to being constantly plugged in the battery is pretty much dud, so if I use it while unplugged it'll switch off within 2 minutes on its own.
I did a hardware check via hp diagnostics and my battery failed, so its not in tip top condition.
so I was wondering instead of replacing it, since my usage will not differ from being constantly plugged in, I was wondering if its alright to use it if I just remove the battery altogether and keep it plugged in all the time.
and if its alright to do that, then what am I supposed to do? should I just remove the battery and that's it? let the pin be as it is and cover the laptop back again and use it plugged in?
thanks in advance, I seriously appreciate any help I can get on this.
    have a good day :)

Can I still use the laptop without the battery by just plugging in the charger? If not, is there other way so I won't buy a replacement battery

You would have the replace the entire keyboard + palmrest + touchpad all together. Keyboard is not separate. It's built in.

    Hi UberGeeks,
I from India, I knew how to do it so I tried but it didn't work, then I came across your video you did nothing different either...
I have 15au620tx, very similar to what is shown in video.
I too have bad battery so I replaced it with a new battery, the new battery is picking up the charge as it is shown by the side led but for some reason laptop won't turn on I tried two new battery and non worked...
Most intresting thing is as soon as I plug in my old swelled battery, everything is back on track and laptop turn on normally.
I am very confused here, please help me out!

Try to turn on without battery. You can run a laptop without battery installed

@@UbergeeksBiz I don't know what's wrong with it but it isn't turning on without battery.
It needs battery connection to turn on and then I can remove battery while laptop is on.

its a disgrace how difficult they have made it to replace batteries in phones and laptops, in older laptops the battery just pooped out with a lock switch. This type of design should be banned to reduce e-waste, even worse are apple products. A a PC builder I've never had to throw out a desktop PC, just pull out old parts and pop in new ones.
