I knew my battery was going bad and needed to be replaced, but I had never realized how much the battery had swelled and was pushing on the keyboard and back panel until I watched your video. My old battery looked nearly identical to the one you removed on the video. Great step by step instructions. Finished the new battery install in about 20 minutes. Thanks for the visual help.

Great video. My laptop is a hp pavilion model 14-ce0505sa. About 2yrs old...Its not that old anyway but out of warranty. Battery needs to be replaced. I rang HP yesterday and they said theyd do it for 270euro. The laptop cost 800+. So just to replace the battery cost over a third of the laptop. Insane. Then I asked how much to buy the part and they said they dont sell parts and would only fix it for me. Yaaay so helpful. It was around that moment that I lost my mind !!!!! I finally got them to give me a number of a parts crowd but when I rang them they said they dont sell parts to individuals anymore...........Sigh...........After about 20mins of back and forth I got them to possibly sell me a battery....... First tho I have to check and see if someone with no techy skills like me can change it the battery... Your video suggests I can. Doesnt look too difficult. Fingers crossed. Tks alot

very nice video brother i have a little issue tho and I was wondering if you could help you I use my laptop [ pavilion au 15-620tx ] throughout the day nowadays due to covid and its practically become like a desktop. Due to being constantly plugged in the battery is pretty much dud, so if I use it while unplugged it'll switch off within 2 minutes on its own. I did a hardware check via hp diagnostics and my battery failed, so its not in tip top condition. so I was wondering instead of replacing it, since my usage will not differ from being constantly plugged in, I was wondering if its alright to use it if I just remove the battery altogether and keep it plugged in all the time. and if its alright to do that, then what am I supposed to do? should I just remove the battery and that's it? let the pin be as it is and cover the laptop back again and use it plugged in? thanks in advance, I seriously appreciate any help I can get on this. have a good day :)
Hp pavillion 15 aw054sa. The kids pushed the screen back to far, and the hinges cracked the corner plastics now, if the screen is in the correct position the laptop will run, but if you move ore touch the laptop it will Instantly turn off. What should i be looking for once i open it up, and what cpuld be damaged?
Thank you. If the HDMI and USB on the motherboard, you can't change them. But if it's on separate I/O board, you can change. They are much cheaper compare to motherboard. 5:45 on right side, that's the I/O board for USB.
Great instructional video! I have a very identical model but a slight different number (15-au110TX). I have not opened it yet. Battery charge indicator light stays white and does not accept charge, while battery remains 40% and sometimes jump to 0%. Performed hp components test says battery is weak (31) but passed. Charge adapter does not provide valid input on test and creates warning. I’m having trouble deciding which one to replace. Can you help? Thanks!

@@FarhanIshrakAhmedUchchash Best is to remove the swollen bad battery. You can run just direct without battery. But keep in mind, if you accidentally pull the adapter cable, it will shuts off your laptop. Hope this helps.

Hi laptop model is exactly like the one you showed, one of the cell was swollen and finally stopped working, as if there is no battery laptop simply powers off when there is a power outage, but it was showing 96% battery full, I tried cleaning but no use. Just replaced the battery( same model) and when I start up the system the battery indicator shows wrong info. I did it on windows and Linux mint. Same 0% charging .Battery works and is recognised by the system. The only thing is that the laptop doesn't turn on if it's unplugged.when plugged if I turn on and then unplug its ok. I have updated the bios of the system and then went to the previous version again. I updated the kernel and then fell back on the previous one again no fix. Any suggestions guys? The light is constantly turning on and off no matter if it's plugged or not. The battery is new. The exact model is the 15-aw001nv. Thank you
Maybe the new battery is bad ? or not OEM HP battery ? If you are still getting the same problem, more likely the motherboard is bad. Not output the right reading voltage to battery

I have 15au620tx, very similar to what is shown in video. I too have bad battery so I replaced it with a new battery, the new battery is picking up the charge as it is shown by the side led but for some reason laptop won't turn on I tried two new battery and non worked... Most intresting thing is as soon as I plug in my old swelled battery, everything is back on track and laptop turn on normally. I am very confused here, please help me out!

its a disgrace how difficult they have made it to replace batteries in phones and laptops, in older laptops the battery just pooped out with a lock switch. This type of design should be banned to reduce e-waste, even worse are apple products. A a PC builder I've never had to throw out a desktop PC, just pull out old parts and pop in new ones.

Hi, if you are planning to use it as desktop. You can disconnect the battery and remove entirely. Laptop can still run with direct power from adapter.

You would have the replace the entire keyboard + palmrest + touchpad all together. Keyboard is not separate. It's built in.

you need to change the entire keyboard. can't just clean the single key
on mine the battery cracked the power button and the plastic top nr the hinge, it pushed the bower button to on all the time.

This type of design should be banned to reduce e-waste, even worse are apple products. A a PC builder I've never had to throw out a desktop PC, just pull out old parts and pop in new ones.
