It was eating up my life and time I'm now in a spot where I own a house and have a good job and over the years my thoughts have wandered back to wow and I decided to redownload...I started on retail and I was blown away how easy money is to obtain and levels and first night I breezed to level 30. That's pretty much spot on friend! Classic definitely brings something special that just can't be replicated in retail these days. Thanks for watching!
On the other hand, in Classic the game almost ends at level 70, because the endgame doesn't offer nearly as much as Retail. I've seen so many players quit Classic after reaching the max level and maybe doing a handful of raids. It's really just a matter of whether the leveling phase or the endgame is more important to you, that's why it's great that we can choose between Classic and Retail depending on your preference.
It really comes down to whether you find the leveling or the endgame more important. Leveling? Classic. Endgame? Retail. Leveling in Classic is better, partly because it's quite imbalanced in Retail (often feels like you become weaker with a level up rather than stronger due to scaling enemy levels). Retail on the other hand, apart from having the more complex and challenging endgame, has a lot more areas to explore and more transmogs and mounts to hunt for, which can be a lot of fun too. I also appreciate the QoL improvements and faster and more dynamic combat.

I despise the modern WoW. I played around ten years ago, so I'm biased to the old style. All these millennials with their flashy lights and boops, makes an old man grumpy!
Retail players absolutely despise even considering that some people would prefer a slower and more grounded MMO. They cannot stand that, to some people, endgame isn’t the their entire focus. With that being said, classic players can be delusional too. Seeing classic players saying classic is harder than retail is hilarious.
Classic gameplay outshines the shiny graphics of retail. Retail is not an MMORPG; they killed all the RPG and MMO aspects. Its just a soulless MOBA now. No social aspect, no value to explore. Hell, major cities are EMPTY in retail. The sweet spot is Classic WoLK.

My brother, I realize you have been playing this game for over 15 years as you have stated, but have you not played or even just looked at anything else that's come out in that time? @@Vizzient well like you yourself talked about character progress in classic instead of how it is in retail how u are immedietly super powerful. I find it ludicrous how u can in retail be lvl 1 and killing dragons with other maxed out characters, you should start from boars and move up not immedietly jump from tutorial island to kill dragons, giants etc it just feels wrong just like in runescape u start by killing goblins and then move onto giants its logical. My own personal experience in retail wow I started from tutorial island killed some murlocs there now 20 levels higher I see murlocks again oh wait its those guys lemme go mess with them and then they kill me... So wait I killed these guys in tutorial zone and now when im 20lvls higher they killed me?? Make it make sense... I should one hit those fucks i killed them already in tutorial zone.
Tldr theres no sense of progression when everything scales...
@@Cenajohn654 right on I get it. I feel both ways about it personally so always curious on other peeps thoughts.
@@Vizzient I understand the "level up anywhere you want" , "play whatever content you want" , "play with friends regardless of level gap" but I still find it wrong that you are killing dragons straight from the jump after tutorial😂 Whats your take on it? I would like to know am I alone on this one...
Classic > Retail
I despise the modern WoW. I played around ten years ago, so I'm biased to the old style. All these millennials with their flashy lights and boops, makes an old man grumpy!

I can’t stand the way Retail looks. Too cartoonish and the animations are so bouncy.
Classic is not? You absolutely no credibility after that ridiculous statement.
@@play030 no it‘s not. compare these two - compare the walk animations for instance.
I‘d suggest you play both games first to before commenting
Exactly what I'm saying
Dragonflight is a meme, the game is far too easy
I play old content in wow
i would recommend classic if ur new to wow, if ur not new and don't feel lost then play retail.
None Of'em don't give money to thrash Blizzard
Retail players absolutely despise even considering that some people would prefer a slower and more grounded MMO. They cannot stand that, to some people, endgame isn’t the their entire focus. With that being said, classic players can be delusional too. Seeing classic players saying classic is harder than retail is hilarious.
To me, Classic=MMO & Retail=ARPG... To be fair they are both the best at what they do. But yeah some people can't accept other ways to have fun 😆
Bro actually said "classic is nothing to write home about graphically" and then said "retail is a phenomenal looking game" in the same breath without bursting into laughter.
My brother, I realize you have been playing this game for over 15 years as you have stated, but have you not played or even just looked at anything else that's come out in that time? Bdo, FFXIV, lost ark, hell even guild wars 2 looks considerably better...
But he's not comparing wow to other titles. Your point in useless.
