It blew my mind when Vinnie La Bella told the story of how Phil was in Exhorder for "40 minutes."
Kyle had quit the band and Phil was interested in doing sonething heavier than what Pantera did on "Power Metal."
Phil tried out, killed it, and then flew back to Texas thinking he was going to be in Exhorder.
Kyle found out that Phil tried out and called Vinnie to tell him he wanted to be back in the band.
Vinnie had to call Phil and explain that Kyle rejoined.
There is a video of that interview on RUclips.
You can tell Vinnie didn’t spend his life screaming into a microphone. His voice was the most clear of the three.
Also not spending most of your life smoking cigarettes would also help a big deal.

Apparently not. I remember he took a break a while ago when he had cancer so I just assumed he was stepping back from video stuff since then but according to his LinkedIn he stopped working for Loudwire in February. It also says he's working as a freelance writer for Revolver and Metal Injection now.

I almost accidentally burnt my great grandma's house down when I tried to burn a spider in a short 3 foot high pine tree next to the front porch. I was also a serious pyromaniac when I was a kid. I use set blasting caps like you would put in a toy revolver on fire with a magnifying glass and I used to set trash on fire and other things but never wanted to burn a house down but almost came to it. Oh and this past Christmas just a few weeks ago I got a dean dime razor back but only has a v shaped string through body tail piece. I wish it had a floyd rose trim on it.

the interviews vary from dates, first phil interview was from 2013 and second was 2016 i believe, Rex and Vinnies were done in 2017.

Phil seems like a misunderstood guy. I think he's a good guy, but just got intolots of bad 'chemistry' and made bad life choices. Plus, scar tissue left over from a complex childhood I guess, but that's most of us. All of us seem to inherit a lot of bad traits from our parents....and the circle goes round and round. Some of us (me definitely) used my parents as an example of how I DONT want to end up.
Even though the Vulgar Display of Power photo story is false, it's a great story 😂

They went above and beyond to keep Pantera in tact despite Phil's drug and attitude issues and never taking calls or showing up to talk about it like a man while doing side projects that became his main projects while leaving Dime & Vinnie hangin for 2 years straight.
