100 Horn of Fair winds can be done quite fast, solo, even on safer seas, up to 20 per hour if you want to go crazy mode. This will also unlock the Storm Sale commendation, where it unlocks midnight Prowler Commendation.

It is good to note that if you do this in high seas you can sell the horn to hunters call for a nice amount of rep along with the gems and coral chests.......it makes for a good hunters call run as well and you can kill two birds with it!
Feel like you were somehow watching me Phuzzy- I was just grinding horns last night and oddly enough I was also using the Art of the Trickster tale! But I was using the checkpoint at sailors bounty To go to that treasury near there, Great video as always Phuzzy and thank you for helping others that never thought about doing it this way!
That would make sense if one has the Checkpoint. I'm guessing the Checkpoint in question is having the Keg Key, since you have to bring it to Sailor's Bounty. Please confirm if this is correct.
@@aidanjackson5084 Yep! The way I did it was putting the keg key in the slot, beat all the skeles, and then just cancel the quest when back on the ship, now you have a Dive location at Sailors Bounty

This is huge! Thanks. This is such a strange grind. I feel like Rare is bad at optimizing a long grind vs a fun grind. They have recently just been sticking with the loooong grind without much thought to how it effects the game. When a large chunk of the player base sees that going to Safer Seas to farm items like HoFW for comms simply because of how outrageous the hand in number is, the game might have a problem.
Outrageous? Many of the commendations are expected to happen after years of regular, even daily, play. And that's OK. The only one pushing you to get it is yourself.
@@fashnek lol in games like RuneScape a grind is the whole point of the game. In a sandbox game like SoT where the whole point is player interaction, a non meaningful grind just because is bad game design.
“The grind” is something foolish players with either limited resources or poor control of their own free time create and apply to themselves, trying to draw out a game by doing chores. And then they convince themselves it was a good use of their time and produce demand that devs add big numeric achievements like this into games. It’s a self imposed problem by a certain type of player and no one else needs to chase it.

Great tips, you can also stowe away the chest of the ancients with the horn to earn your way towards those vault sails as well... And I would agree with Rocket on just doing this in normal mode as if you sink you just vote up art of the trickster and return to your fav merm-bank, very low risk loot stashin,' just be careful when you make the move to sell.

On gold and glory weekend 5 horns got me an impressive amount of hunters call rep when I sold straight to them!!
Can you show a method to farm breath of the sea bottles?
I just dive to Art of the Trickster and then go 1 tile north to that treasury.
And if you do up to 10 at a time, you can farm Chest of Ancient Tributes at the same time (store 10 + 10 in the statue).
Haven't watched a phuzzy vid in a while. I don't wven play sot anymore. Brings me back to the old days.

been thinkin bout this one over the weekend.
first off, love the video! secondly, i respect the hustle for this treacherous grind. you've done your due testing to optimize this route. doing dozens of treasuries to get a silly sail and those throwing knife + double-barrel gun cosmetics sucks.
however, i dont love the ship holding. feels exploit-y, no disrespect intended. i'd rather all hang out and hunt evil merfolk sirens together!

I got the 100 horns almost the same way. I went to Treasury of sunken shores, finished it, saved the horn in the merm, then dove to smugglers or sailors bounty with the skull of destiny voyage. I usually did 5 at the time. Its still a grind but I got 70 in like a week.
"There's no cheesing this"... this is beyond cheesing it by using safer seas AND ship holders who get nothing from it. Bro...
I'd not be surprised if they do patch the mermaid keeping stuff through dives as a result (and likely making them bug out when you get server merged as a result)
@@ExileTwilight I wouldn't be surprised either. But that's not the cheesy part of this video. Even if you stay on the same server, you can keep things in a mermaid, so that's not really an issue. I wouldn't care if they patched that or not.
But the ship holders for ONE person to get the credit for the rest of the team doing the work is pretty lame... Or suggesting using alt accounts to hold the ships. It's cringy.
