The summarize feature for Apple notifications has has several issues. One is that people just get two many notifications on their phones and they can’t seem to get to the point of disabling the ones the don’t use and hate when they come up. Next, is the fact the the notifications for news articles are basically already summarized from the articles. So now you’re getting 10 notifications from say The NY Times, which each are summarized from the articles you can click through. So now your taking 10 articles, summarizing them into 10 sentences then summarizing those 10 sentences into 3 sentences, your going to eventually get major screwups. You can only distill that much information down so far without losing that context. Now Brandon you’re saying that the summaries are just supposed to make the people read the articles. Most people aren’t reading the articles anyway they’re too lazy. They just read the notifications and now they have too many notifications to read those even. Now there are people who actually do read articles but half the time they’re getting notifications from publications that they don’t even subscribe to so they’ll get a New York Times notification about an article but they don’t subscribe to the New York Times so they can’t read the article anyway. All these notifications have the same issue with emails. People are too lazy to stop getting the emails to actually go and unsubscribe to them same thing with the notifications they don’t stop the notifications.

The A.I game on phones is relatively young and I don’t think we should expect greatness immediately from the start in regards to the implementation of artificial intelligence. Remember when IOS 13 launched and they started with literally “Yeah, Your iPhone is 2x faster now”
I just wish IOS 19 is plain bugs fixes and performance improvement I literally couldn’t care less for Apple Intelligence
I tried out the AI features a couple of times, but don’t use it on a weekly basis let alone a daily basis. The writing tools are more or less useless for real life stuff and the other tools are “use it once to se it” features.
Anyone else have an issue loosing their Snapchat dark icon after updating the app on iOS 18.3
No one cares about foldable devices in five years.
Sticking with 18.2 I’ve got enough issues with this not taking a punt on 18.3
I’m not really interested in AI for writing emails or texts. Probably looking up stuff or image playground is all I would use it for.
I believe people are having much higher expectations for apple intelligence than they should. My personal opinion. The A.I game on phones is relatively young and I don’t think we should expect greatness immediately from the start in regards to the implementation of artificial intelligence. I personally like the features and I appreciate how apple intelligence is embedded within the software. I just think it’s easier to complain than it is to be patient for the features to evolve. My two cents!
Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.
When people think about AI, think Star Trek computer… we do not have independent AI, we just have features.
I was running the final, non-beta, on my DoorDash phone-I was getting multiple resprings while dashing. Kinda unacceptable
It’s underwhelming until you need it..
I’ve been using the chat gpt feature everyday. No problems at all. Really all I care for in the AI software. It answers questions way better than Siri ever did
love the. chatgpt extension
Siri won't talk through the Speaker anymore, (since 18.3?) Anyone else having this problem?
11:56 *The only thing worse than having no AI assistant is having one you can't trust.*
Look at it this way. Suppose you hired a personal assistant and he/she screwed up frequently. Wouldn't you fire his/her ass immediately? Of course, you would.
I estimate that AI on both Android and iPhone screws up around 5% of the time. That's too often for my tolerance.
Perhaps in years to come, this percentage may drop down to a more acceptable 0.01% of the time. I'll wait till then, thank you very much.
My phone rebooted watching this
AI is big gimmick, I rarely use them on my s24 ultra
