I've bought many ADA products over years. They're all expensive and in some instances you're just paying for the right to display the brand, as for example when you get an ADA high-clarity aquarium. But in my experience the substrate additives do in fact promote the long-term ecological health of the tank. They're a good investment.

I have watched the Green Machine layout videos countless times, and each time I find something new and inspiring to take away from it. James's work is incredible and I wish he was still making videos. The narration also made that channel stand out. It's always nice to have a hype man like James had! My favorite scapes were Arizona, Escarpment, and Crimson Sky. MJ, you did an incredible job with this scape. I can see the inspiration, and I love how you included your own style into it so while it is similar it is very much the MJ-style of aquascape. You have a great eye for composition, and a patient hand in maintaining an aquarium long-term. Thank you as always for your professionalism with your videos. I am very grateful for your hard work. Peace and blessings to you.

The Green Machine is one of the channels that inspired me to get into this beautiful hobby. You killed this like usual. lol 💚💚
( edit ) It's probably going so smoothly because of the ADA supplements. That's my guess any way. Been wanting to try them out for years. Just haven't gotten around to it yet!

Oh how I adored Mr. Findley's content.
His early content was what inspired me to get back into keeping aquariums in my early 20's, and his works 'Reciprocity', 'Tributary' & 'Simplicity' would remains huge influence to this day.
Though I now keep a reef aquarium. Each time I see one of his works, I can't help but want to set up another planted tank. He was truly a superb artist in this medium.
Very pretty adaptation on his work, well done

I have Ember Tetras and they are fun to watch; mine like swimming against the flow of the filter and doing loops like it's a slide. The filter doesn't even have an aggressive flow as they life with shrimps, too - they're just living in a carnival ride. Thank you for introducing me to James Findley.

You did a really good job mate. This tank is neat and the shallow tank is an awesome choice. It looks way better than a regular tank. A triumph. And no algae issues, a lesson somewhere in the build I suspect. Limited plant selection - good idea, then great fish choice, during the build I wondered why you hadn't used Hydrocotyle tripatita on the water line, it is a great plant for damp terrestrial growth - then you did! The cherry shrimp may yet breed like mad but so what? One of your best videos. A joy to watch.
