Great video! I agree it was kind of weird seeing no information on replacing joysticks like these so yeah thanks for the content I just bought the RG353M replacement joystick set and will try to migrate them to my RG353P… since software wise the are supposed to be the same hopefully they will work
@@muzzworks they're both in there for sure. I took it apart and put it together again multiple times. I installed JelOS and MinUi a couple of times and nothing. Yesterday I was able to get sound from the headphone jack though, but the music was incomplete. So I reset all the retroarch settings via the JelOS menu. It started to work normally afterwards, but now I need to put the speakers back in since I had removed them out of frustration lol. I should have time tomorrow to work on it to see if the retroarch reset did the trick somehow.
@@DreamvilleMatt I honestly don't think they were trolling, to be honest. You are right about the precision. I have noticed the difference now that these new sticks have been in for a bit.
The Anbernic Hall stick for RG353M also work. That's what I have in mine.
Ah, good to know. How do they feel compared to stock sticks?
@@muzzworks they got more grip. I like them.

Thanks, I appreciate it and I'm happy that this is helpful. The RG353P upgrade should be very similar to this one. Good luck and enjoy.
Are the joy sticks screw a philip or Y
Phillips.
Love the new sticks, but now my speakers don't work after disconnecting everything and plugging it all back in. Ha
Oh no! What happened! Did you check if you just didnt seat the connectors correctly? Are both not working?

They don’t look all that different…
That's what's great about them. They are the perfect drop-in replacement and provide more precision, and should never have any stick drift issues.
Idk if this comment is a troll or not… but u do realize the swap wasnt to make it look different but make it more precise and prevent drift
