The search doesnt seem to search everything for me. Is it like that for anyone else?
Thank you for all this tips & tricks. One feature missing on this device is ability to install other cores on retroarch. I would like to enjoy old Commodore 64 games :) My understanding is it is not possible with this device. What do you think ?
By far my most used handheld.
I just got mine yesterday, they don't come with clear buttons anymore. Same with a friend's unit too. No clear buttons.
Sorry, looks like these were included in some review units. They are available as a separate purchase. Sorry about the confusion.
I think the V4 will stay relevant for quite a while. It plays everything that is enjoyable in such form factor well and the overall user experience is still unmatched, controls and overall feel too. Anbernic pumping out unpolished shovelware handhelds makes me yawn.
What about CrossMix-OS? Is it worth setting that up or staying stock?
CrossMix is essentially an improved stock. Definitely setting it up once it is available or if you can get a preconfigured card, it might be worth getting it.
I bought the trimui brick without the sd card cos I thought i would buy a sandisk sd card anyways but I forgot the included sd card might have the necessary files in order for it to run...
I think you can grab the base image from their GitHub page right here: github.com/trimui
cool device! :) does anyone else get a snow effect on this vid? kinda detracted a little sadly but good information
Thanks alot. Great video.
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Heavy statement that too Mich reviews Saida that replace miyoo mini
I love my Miyoo Mini Plus. Great device, but the Brick is a nicer looking device with an amazing screen. I think if someone already has a Miyoo Mini Plus, I wouldn't recommend upgrading. If you are trying to decide between the two, well, the Brick is a better value in my opinion.
I have both and the brick is strictly better, the screen is amazing, onion is good but minui is very underrated
@@muzzworks I will go for it when the price goes a little lower, it will be my first, I want to use for gba Pokemon hack roms, do you know if it is possible to play games made by RPG maker, because I saw the app easy rpg and it could be interesting to know
I have never tried it, but EasyRPG is comparable with games made in RPG Maker. So it is included, but I am not sure how accurate or full-featured it is.
Crossmix установить возможно ?
I have a ver of crossmix os on my own trimui brick but, it's from a different seller. Setup is easy but, I got a preconfigured sd card.
As far as I am aware, it has not been officially released but like @waitingcoyote1963 said some sellers do have preconfigured sd-cards that are being sold with the device for an additional fee.
Just installed mine. While I wish these were much much taller and offered more travel distance, they do seem a bit better than stock. However, the edges of the caps physically touch the case at the extreme limits, which means these are incompatible with cap covers. Since the caps are designed to pop off, maybe they make a longer version which will stick out more and offer more control.
Yeah, I hear you. I think it is better than stock but you are right about it touching at the extremes. There may be a different brand that is a bit taller but you would have to experiment a bit. You can always go with the retroid official 3+ hall sticks if the range bothers you.
Wow GREAT quality review. Take my sub
Thanks! I appreciate the sub as well.
very nice i like ur videos
Are there times when playing a game at an angle would make the V4's screen viewing angles a drawback?
No, If you are just playing normally I doubt the viewing angle factors in at all. If someone is looking at your gameplay from an angle then, yeah, they may notice but that is an edge case.
These devices blow my mind. Mines in the mail. Thanks
They are great! Every time I pick one up my 9y old inner kid is amazed. Enjoy the new device!
This needs an OLED version so bad
Ooh, yes, that would be interesting and a must buy for me. If I had to make a full wish list for my ideal Miyoo Mini OLED, it would also include all-metal body and Wi-Fi as well.
@@muzzworksmiyoo anvil?
this handheld is a gem. thank you for the great review
No problem and thanks ☺!
3 years and 4 versions later, it's still the same. Except, it's more expansive now comming from LITNXT.
New color and the screen is a bit of a give and take but yeah, still mostly the same great mini. Which is nice to see. LitNXT can be more expensive depending on where you live in the world. Shop around, some have better luck with ali express and amazon.
mini v4 with onion offers value that is difficult to top
For sure. You get so much with this little handheld.
my RP3 have no drift issues yet but i plan to change analogs to hal before it happens, although RP3 & RP3+ are only good for 5th gen consoles or lower and ports the consoles that will handle up to 7th gen consoles are too expensive so I will stay on the RP3 for a long time
It is still a solid machine. The RP4 and pro may come down in price once the RP5 is rleased later this month. So you may be able to score one of those at a discount.
TY!
What about games like PS2 NFS UG 2? Does it work pretty good? Or its not worth IT?
Not for PS2. It can reach up to Dreamcast and it struggles a bit so definitely will not play PS2 games.
@@KalboVello maybe you have some recommendation for some handheld like this to emulat PS2 games like NFS UG/MW? 😅
Like @KalboVello said, it can play Dreamcast and below. Take a look at the Retroid Pocket Mini, Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, Anbernic RGCube, or Anbernic RG406v. These are more mid-tier priced devices, but they are capable of playing PS2 and GameCube libraries.
@@muzzworks great much thanks for this i will check it 🔥
Looks cool🔥
That extra half inch makes such a difference 👍
That's what she said...
@@Kevin-Schmevin 4 inches, she's never had it so good 😂
When all you're working with is 3.5 inches, that extra half inch can make or break your experience. ... That's also what she said.
just installed my gulikits halls on my RP3+, loving them so far. Thanks for the vid!
I just upgraded from the 35 to the 40 simply because the 35 was too small for my hands. I really like the 40 so the 35 is shortly to be going on eBay.
Yeh my preference is the 40XXH as well.
Best review I've seen. The algorithm did you wrong
It happens. I appreciate the comment! I hope the review was helpful.
The triggers is what kills it for me. I like a device that I can easily put in and out of my pocket. And when traveling, a device that has a very low profile carrying case. I would have loved to pick it up because the larger screen, if not for these characteristics. So im going to pick up a 35XXH.
They don't flare out much but that plus the sticks does make it less portable and pocketable. Sound like the 35XXH is better for your needs.
Subscribed keep it going!
Thanks for the sub!
Question how can I partner with lintnxt?
They connected with me, but I am sure you can reach out through their site to inquire.
I assumed this was a big channel from the quality lol, keep going subbed.
Lol, thanks for subscribing. I appreciate the support.
Is this more powerful than the 35xx H?
No, exactly the same performance.
Hey, subscribed - love the quality content from small creators. Would have loved if you talked about the cardinal stick issues or the available CFW available for the model you're covering.
Thanks for the sub and great feedback. Yeah, the cardinal snapping of the sticks is a bit of an oversight on my end.
China after 2022 deck they obsessed much of steam deck thing's
Yeah, many of the Anbernic devices resemble small Steam Decks, but to be fair to Anbernic and many of the other retro handheld manufacturers, the Steam Deck is fairly generic looking as well. :)
U can have better performance on a 4 year old android phone
For sure you can, but there is something about a dedicated handheld that makes the experience better. For the majority of emulation, the performance isn't really what matters. The experience really plays a huge part. A decent Android controller attachment + a decent phone will for sure deliver better performance. The processors in the flagships today (or like you said even the ones from 4y ago) will run circles around 99% of these devices.
@@muzzworks this
Going to order either this or the RP4P what one do you think i should choose 😂 I play snes all the eay up to ps2 no 3ds or ds since i already have a 3ds
It is a tough choice, and it changes a lot with the pending release of the RP5 and Mini. For me, I use the RGCube for just about every game except the PSP library or the harder to run PS2 games; for those, I use a Steamdeck or RP4 Pro. The RGCubes portability and comfort make a huge difference. I would suggest considering the RGCube or waiting a few weeks to grab the RP4P if and when the price drops. If the price does not drop, consider getting an RP5 if you don't mind the size increase. You will also soon have the RP Mini as an option so take a look at that one as well. Lots of choices, all great ones. I don't think you will be disappointed with either choice.
@@muzzworks The reason I'm trying to pick right now is Amazon's going to give me 50% refund because they messed up a shipping issue so I'm trying to pick between the RG Cube and RP4+ I currently have the RG405M so I'm looking for somebody's opinion who played both
Ah, that changes things a bit, as you already have a more portable 405M. Go with the RP4Pro. It gives you access to all the widescreen systems (PS2, GC hacks, and some Switch) and provides a nice performance boost over the 405M. You can still use your 405M for all your 4:3 and lower games. The RP4Pro is a better all-around device, and at a 50% discount, it is a no brainer. It does everything the Cube does and more, so you have more options for playing your library if you diversify your handhelds a bit more.
@@muzzworks see my other dilemma is in a once device type of dude I don't like to play on multiple devices
@@SoulForMany Well, RP4Pro will play all that you are interested in, as long as you don't mind the larger pillar boxing. So, if it's one device for everything, then RP4P might be your better choice. You can also look into syncing your save data using syncthing if that is what is keeping you from using multiple devices. Syncthing running on android devices is quite easy to setup so setting it up on the 405M and RP4Pro would be easy enough see RGC guide : retrogamecorps.com/2024/08/11/guide-using-syncthing-with-retro-handhelds
How well does it play Genshin Impact?
Performance is good. It is only a 720p screen, so low settings and bumping up the FPS work well. The biggest issue is the same as on most small phones: small fonts and text can be hard to read. You are also taking a non-zero risk of being banned with the keymapping. I have not heard of anyone being banned using Anbernic's keymapper, though, and I have used it without any issues. For a quick play session in bed or on the go, it is good. I would not use it as my primary device to play Genshin Impact; go with the RP4 Pro or wait for the Retroid Pocket 5 reviews, as it will have a bigger screen and Retroid also has a touchscreen keymapper for Android.
What are your top 2 handhelds, if this is 3rd?
I will do you one better and give you my top 5: Stramdeck, RP4 pro, RGCube, Miyoo Mini Plus, PS Vita.
@@muzzworks Stramdeck 🤣 thats a new one
Lol :)

Can you help me please? I bought the device but I didn't know how to activate the controller because I only bought the disk, I have a joystick, thanks
What is the game(arkanoid) at 12.30?
Gunbarich, released in 2001 in arcades, I believe. It has been ported to Steam (PC) and Switch as well, if I remember correctly.
@@muzzworks thanks
Rp4p is budget king!
Agreed, the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro is better overall. The RG Cube is better in some areas, i.e., d-pad, portability, and ergonomics.
Rp4p is the définition of uncomfortable, even with the grip its awful to hold for more than 2 minuts. I returned mine
I wanna get on so bad. Ps2 on the go sounds crazy
@@JBentham1523 maybe you have bigass hands because I have medium hands and it's super comfortable with the grip.
@@juniorelizondo4144 i dont u just know nothing about premium until you try something like the odin 2. Rp4p is trash. Its like playing on a toaster
Great video! I agree it was kind of weird seeing no information on replacing joysticks like these so yeah thanks for the content I just bought the RG353M replacement joystick set and will try to migrate them to my RG353P… since software wise the are supposed to be the same hopefully they will work
Thanks, I appreciate it and I'm happy that this is helpful. The RG353P upgrade should be very similar to this one. Good luck and enjoy.
The screen is not the same as Miyoo mini plus, anbernic devices have bezels, miyoo doesn''t, its all screen.
Yes true. The quality is quite similar but you are correct on the bezel sizes. I love that about the miyoo mini and plus.
What keyboard is that?
Nuphy Air75, I added a link in the description.
@@muzzworks Thank you!

Thanks!
Thinking about getting this to replace my r36s although the missing joy sticks will make it harder for some game I want to play. Is it worth it?
You are getting a better quality handheld with the SP, including an improved d-pad, buttons, Wi-Fi, and a more compact design. However, you are not gaining much more in terms of performance. I think it's worth it, but if you want the same performance as the SP with sticks, take a look at the RG35XX H.
Is it me or is this recorded in a weird frame rate
I did record at 24fps for the first time. I usually recorded at 30fps. Crazy that you noticed the difference. I use every video to experiment and learn. One of these this time around was shooting at 4k/24. Good eye.
Great review! I love mine, I have the blue transparent version. On mine I have MuOS installed, because it has the perfect synergy with the hinge standby function. Also the custom themes are gorgeous. I use a Megaman Battle Network theme :D
Thanks. MuOS is a great choice on the SP. Definitely one of the better CFWs. I am always reluctant to get the transparent models, but the blue would be the one I would go with as well if I did.
Great review
Thanks!
