The criminal mind truly is bizarre. I will never understand how criminals don't realize that people own guns.🤦♂️
its taking chances
In so many countries, it's almost impossible for a private citizen to own a gun. So it's a reasonable expectation on the part of the criminal. The odds are in the criminal's favor.
The criminal mind is an underdeveloped, primitive, impulse control deficient, irrational mind. (Extremely rare exceptions exist with criminal geniuses, but they aren't your street crime criminals.)
In a lot of places the criminals are protected and they know it
Its amazing in this day/age how people are so quick to die for something that isn't theirs.

He was dead kid walking for that last ten yards.
The thing about life is that its full of choices. What we decide to ultimately do with it boils down to our own decisions. Whatever the outcome, at the end of the day, we're all exactly where we wanted to be in, and need to be, based on our actions.
Some of us are at home after a long day of work, others are drawing their last breath at the bottom of a gutter. The choice is yours.
@@pohjantuulet247 very true.
I would guess his last thoughts were *"Why'd he do that? Ow ow ow..."*
he's probably not though. Empathy is also a higher IQ function that these creatures lack. In the same way we imagine telepathy as a sci-fi/fantasy superpower, to the low-IQ ape-man, the ability to "image what's going on in someone else's head", or "contemplating the consequences of your actions" is basically the equivalent of telepathy.

I live here in Guatemala. That happened around September last year. The truth of the matter, the good guy in the car did not stick around. Honestly, the legal procedures for situations like that are very unfair for the good citizens defending their life/property. What happens in a situation like this one is that they'll arrest you, book you and jail you until it is fully determined whether the act was legitimate self defense. Meanwhile, you sit in a jail that is in NO WAY similar to prisons in the U.S. You have gang member (MS & 18) who rule the jails, and they will extort you for money (which usually the families end up paying, so they don't kill you inside). That's not all... The car, well, it gets impounded and guess what happens to your nice car in the bone yard? It pretty much gets dismantled and you can pretty much say "bye" to it. And the cherry on top... Now you have been detained/arrested, so good luck keeping or finding a job. In Guatemala, when seeking for a job, we have two different types of records that we must submit when applying for a job: one is to show if you have prior prison sentences (in other words, convictions) and the other is to show if you have been arrested for anything and were detained by the cops for it. So, because of all this crap we have to undergo and deal with situations like this one, people in those circumstances do not stay and answer for it. Sadly as it sounds, it is the best thing to do, and it is quite understood by anyone witnessing the event, so much so that they'll tell you to go and get outta. Then, people in the internet deem the good citizen as a hero for taking out a crimimal. This video here, after everything happened, the man in the car behind, gets out and tells the good citizen to leave... and he or she does leave. And until today, we don't know who it was and the authorities will not go out of their way to arrest anyone because the good citizen did something good for society. The social norm: never stay back if you ever defend yourself and end up killing the aggressor(s).
That makes sense..thanx for the info

In every state in America, you can get restitution from a criminal/criminal act in multiple ways. First, you could sue directly in civil court (including the dead criminal's estate) - which may lead to nothing because criminals tend to have nothing. Secondly, if the criminal is alive and caught, the criminal Court can order restitution as part of the sentence and you could recover your deductibles - this is rather common. Lastly, there are victim recovery funds setup by states for certain types of losses. For instance, California has the California Victim Compensation Board.
Probably has a negative balance due to all the victims in Los Angeles alone.

I watch these videos for educational reasons. I have changed the way I drive seeing some of these. I never pull right up to the car in front of me. I always stop far enough back so I can turn out and drive away. Or at least move the car significantly. I also keep my pistol more accessible when driving....

@@fishinfool3795 It pays to be as prepared as you can. In every way possible. We live in a very volatile world...
So sad that the car owner now has to buy a new window
The real tragedy here is 9 times out 10 this tactic would have worked for the bad guy.
The vast majority of people are completely unprepared and incapable of handling a situation like this and end just giving in and handing over everything to the bad guys
9/10 is not good odds though.
He probably didn't do this the 1st time...
Not so. Remember there are between 55,000 and 4.7 million defensive gun uses in America each year. Too bad we don't have better statistics, may it would convince some of these people they really should just stay home.
I agree with that, however this has to do with the countries laws that a regular citizen is NOT able to buy a fire arm legally to protect himself or his home. I bet if regular citizens had that right, the odds would of been more like 4/6 or 5/5 . Here in Mexico you Cannot buy a fire arm legally. That’s the reason this happens often to regular citizens / civilians. To be honest I’m actually surprised the dude in the Car had a weapon, because if I’m correct Guatemala has similar laws to Mexico regarding owning a fire arm. So I’m pretty sure the dude in vehicle either works for the Government or Law enforcement.
“With great power comes GREAT responsibility.” -Not my dad
Guy with the flag is tryin, guy with the gun is dyin!
HEADS-UP!!
I recently bought a vehicle with a key fob that starts the vehicle, opens the door, and controls a few other items. I ALWAYS lock my doors and had an awakening when my wife didn't need me to unlock the doors to get in. Having our key fobs with us took care of that - YIKES!! Researching how to prevent that was fruitless but did teach me how thieves can walk up to my front door, scan my key fob (especially since my key fob was near the front of the house - duh, close enough to use remote start), and steal my vehicle. I then started wrapping the fob in aluminum foil until I could obtain a real Faraday Cage Bag (I'm an electronics tech and knew excatly what I needed) for both our key fobs. I have that bag now (SLNT) and carry it with me. While next to the car, with the fob in the bag, the doors stayed locked.
I take fob out of the bag, open the doors, start the vehicle, then put fob back in bag. This process creates a few tedious steps, but well worth it to me for controlling the vehicle in a way that I'm comfortable with and which keeps family safer than without the FCB.
There are videos of people losing cars like that, also for garage/gate doors when you press the button it also sends out a signal that can be stolen by someone near by… I recommend using wifi for gate/garage control because of that

Even if he could sue, it's Guatemala. The perp's family net worth likely wouldn't cover the full cost of the window.
If a criminal can break into your house and hurt themselves and sue for that, suing for the drivers window should be an easy case.
I’d argue there isn’t a judge that would allow a case where a plaintiff sues to recover damages suffered during the commission of a crime, to ever make it to a jury trial, it would be dismissed.

If you see the full video the driver from behind says "go go go go..." that's because here in Guatemala human rights Org protect thief no matter what, you shoot you go to jail, even if was justified.
Interesting. I was just talkin to my dad yesterday when the subject of robbery came up. He says that if he was being robbed he would shoot out the robbers legs. I had to explain to him that only works in the movies. There are very few people in the world with the skills necessary to hit legs with a firearm on a moving target while your adrenaline is pumping. He says "you would kill someone even if they're using a toy gun"? Well, if it's pointed at me and being used to manipulate me as if it was real then I'm aiming for center mass...no questions. I love my dad but he's a fukkin moron lol.
There's ALL kinds of reasons to not aim at the legs. In addition to what you mentioned here, the femoral artery is in the leg. That's the 3rd or 4th biggest artery in the body (depending on how you separate the arteries, and maybe depending slightly on the person). Basically, you nick that artery, and the person is bleeding out almost as fast as if you cut their throat. They'll have ~30 seconds before passing out, and ~3 minutes before they bleed out. The point is: Leg shots can still be *extremely* deadly. It's only *slightly* less deadly then getting shot center mass, particularly with a pistol. So, yes: Shooting with the intent to wound, in general, is fucking stupid. And there's many, many, many other reasons as well.
I absolutely love these... good night bedtime stories......!!!!!
