Aisha is so amazing. Love her. So good. BADASS !
R.I.P. Regis Philbin
Great on-air personality.
This show needs to come back
I agree
RIP Regis!
LANAAAAA! But seriously aisha is amazing at this
I am so miss you Regis with Kelly and everyone and me
This episode ultimately introduces the announcer to the show. RIP Regis Philbin.
Awesome chemistry between Aisha and Valerie. They are on the same wavelength.
This is genuinely entertaining and I don't get why it was cancelled.
Because you have to actually think to enjoy the show.
it didn't draw the demographics that CBS wanted
@@eagleeye2300 yup. And ain't that sad.
I think it was cancelled because it looked so stressed out and forced with the contestants having to stand up. The spirit of the game was soulless and was missing THE one thing that made Password so great. The exotic countenances or facial expressions when the players were giving or recieving the clues.
@@OliveOyl12590it wasnt canceled cuz of that
Rest in Peace Regis
Aisha is so good it's almost scary.
it's always the comedians that are good. aisha and Rosie 🔥
I love Million Dollar Password?
And Norm!
Million Dollar Password shares some elements from Pyramid.
Every time Regis gives the directions in the Million dollar round, it reminds me of when Joey was going to host a game show that had ridiculous complicated rules.
She played with a real Hollywood genius. Aisha Tyler is a brilliant mind and so was the contestant.
Thanks for uploading, these are fun and a bit nerve-wracking. Regis is a good host, but he really needed to dial back a bit on ribbing William, the remarks may have been in kind, but it was somewhat excessive, this simply was not William's finest hour...let's see you Regis try to man the USS Enterprise...
Really like the show, was living overseas when this was on the air. so this is the first opportunity to watch (thanks Chad for posting). One thing which they could have done better is that they really discouraged contestants from attempting to go for the cash at the $100,000 level on three levels: 1) they gradually eliminate the number of incorrect answers permissible; 2) the words get significantly harder (no gimmes like "under" or "September," and 3) the risk of losing the winning cash gets higher. For these reasons, it's unlikely for contestants to go for the $250,000. I haven't watched the whole series but I'd be curious to know how many that succeeded at $100,000 went for the $250,000.
How rude of Regis to say Shatner was slowing down
It would be fun to watch play it even they turn down the next level and see if they would of won!
Thank you for this
I can’t believe when he said pass, they didn’t actually think he MEANT pass lol
acar1994 he said past
In Mark's second game, tribute and barricade would've scared me.
I would've made $100K a safe level instead of $250K (which no one ever won) and not reveal the words for the $250K beforehand (maybe reveal the million dollar words before the contestant decides to go for the million and risk dropping back to $100K).
When someone chooses to walk with $100k, they should get to do the questions for $10k to their favorite charity. I think the guy would have gotten 4-5 of those words, but the Asian lady in the beginning had really hard words for the $250k option. Personally, I'd do it if I were the guy; pays 2-1 basically. You either lose $75k or gain $150k.
Aisha Freakin Tyler is Dope at this game!
i think this game would do well on TV now - it did not do well at the time but i think now it would sour in ratings. Better than some others on at night, that is for sure. I hope someone sees this and considers it.
ahhhh, remember he's an old guy, leave Willy alone:)
I’m curious what they do in the event that the contestant chooses to receive clues when it comes time to “help them” decide by showing the passwords. They can’t show the contestant and if they show the celeb then the celeb really has to decide for them
From the official rules:
"For the $250,000 level only, the Clue Giver is shown all of the Passwords of those levels, one at a time, for three (3) seconds each before the contestant must decide and declare definitively (as determined by Producer and Network in their sole discretion) whether they will continue the game or stop. After the words have been shown to the contestant, the Host prompts the contestant for their decision to quit or to continue playing. If the celebrity is acting as the Clue Giver, then a limited amount of dialogue is allowed for the celebrity to advise the contestant about their level of confidence with the next group of Passwords, but the final decision whether to stop the game or continue must always come from the contestant."
Chad Mosher Wow, thank you for that! Curiosity satisfied. I didn’t think they wanted the celebrity influencing the contestant so much.
Damn Aisha is amazing
I feel bad for Shatner. I get that they want celebrities on the show but putting a thirty something celeb against an eighty something celeb (age) doesn't seem quite fair.
It would also help if the poster knew their math, Shatner will be 87 this coming March. Which means he was 77 then.
...in addition to the fact that the First Lady of the Password Universe did VERY well here.
I know how old my old friend is, Francisco. My point was Artist thought Shatner was pushing 90 then. When this aired, he was a decade younger.
Look at earlier game shows he was on. Not his good suit.
Betty white was on this rendition of the show and she killed it.
11:45 I swear, it feels like Shatner was intentionally failing to add drama.
I understand why you'd think that. But, I think it comes down to his mindset; he doesn't play games like this. He needed practice, and even then, idk.
Hey, Ashia Tyler before Whose Line. :)
From Hollywood everybody
How the heck do you get Kermit the Frog wrong 😂
It's the Mad Cow
Regis is repeatedly making ugly remarks about Shatner. Enough already. Your show picked him! He's old
Regis picks on EVERYONE even loyal fans, one gets used to it
well to be fair shatner sucked on pyramid
The show failed because they strayed from the original formula. It's not password its the Lighting Roumd of Password.
I agree, I miss the back and forth of the regular Password rounds.
I didn't think Bill would do well, even though I'm a fan. Aisha, oh yes, definitely knew she'd do well. It's a particular mindset to play these games without practice.
So mean to Bill. :(
4:05
Regis Philbin could have hosted Password, Super Password and Password Plus.
7:50! But in all fairness, they weren't laughing WITH him...
why did this version move from new york to los angles it would have been easier to stay right where it was i mean for regis sake
Actually he has a home out there too
Of the $250K words, I think I could've done amnesia, brownie, trick, and possibly secluded. I think the other two weren't that bad but what would you say for enthusiasm and feedback though?
For enthusiasm, you could try "excited" and "noun". Feedback could possibly be done with "microphone", "loud", and "pain".
schmolik1 For enthusiasm, I'd have said stuff like "interest", "excitement" and "exuberance". For feedback, I've had said "comments", "suggestions" and "criticism".
+schmolik1 For "enthusiasm" I might have gone with "curb", "your" and if she didn't get it I would have finished with "excitement". For feedback I'd say "response", "criticism" and "suggestions" (almost like PlutoTheSecond).
Someone better beam you up Bill & get u out of there, you aren't playing the best game.
Bill did fine at the game.
Dude in the second half of the show looks like a fatter John Malcovich.
Bill
Regis would be no good at playing the game either.
William Shatner was too much into the Denny Crane headspace while making this episode, did his best 'Mad Cow' impression.
Ashia is good.
I thought Shatner was smarter than this. I guess it's only when he's scripted... RIP Will Shatner's brain
😥
Pink is a lightened Red. I can see why William Shatner was mistaken
William shatner is like Captain kirk
Whatever that means
I hate the new game show formats. They all look exactly alike.
Statler shouldn't be on. He's not good at it
Statler not good. Dumb
I think Merideth Viera hosted this it would of been better. I didn’t care for “25 words or less”. More celebrities and better rotation
If The Colour Of Money was in the US from the UK hosted by Chris Tarrant. Meredith would have hosted that as well before Drew Carey people said, but I think the US version would be called The Power Of Money or Money Power.
Shatner is just as bad at this as I suspected he would be.
Aisha tanked a few answers to make Bill feel less embarrassed. Totally obvious.
Why did they let Shatner come on this show? What an embarassment.
I usually enjoy watching William Shatner perform, but not on this show. He was awful. And I sure hope he didn't do it on purpose.
