Chad, I had not watched some of these episodes until now. (I lived in China when the show ran.) But I have a clue now why MDP didn't succeed -- bad players! Both the celebrities and the contestants. Jeeez!

I don't think the frantic pace, the lights, the incessant music and the deviation from the original format are anything to be desired. It is merely a clone of all of the other game shows seen now. This is so nostalgic now
The quality of player between the 60s version and today are very noticeable. Which is to say they had better vocabularies and mental thesauruses.
This show is so fun! And I love how there are no adds.

I never cared for Regis’s way of belittling players for laughs.
This is so far from the original Password it is almost unwatchable.
