I know everyone always gives Kathie Lee a bunch of crap but in real life she really is one of the nicest, kindest people you will ever meet. She doesn't care who you are, she will help you out. That garbage about using sweat shops for her clothing line is also garbage. The celebs they use on clothes have no idea about how or where the clothes are made. They just go to New York, look at some designs, sign some papers, let their name be used, and then go home. They are not involved in production. They don't have a clue about any of that. They are celebs. What do they know about manufacturing? After she heard about what was going on and what she was being accused of, she worked hard to get legislation passed to stop it. First class lady right there and she doesn't look 61 years old! I'm saying all this even though I never watched Regis and Kathie Lee.
I can't believe for the "Name something that women stuff question" that no one chose their face! I see a lot of heavy D's roaming around so you know that one is a fact!

British television has a very liberal reputation compared with American television but watching this and other celebrity episodes I was amazed with the constant reference to all things sexual. The UK show is firmly aimed at a family audience and is shown in the 8pm-10pm slot and ALL the questions in its 20 year plus history have been totally bland and inoffensive. The sex life of the very creepy Hugh Hefner as a subject in what I think is a mainstream game show is mind-blowing!.
It's very different, the humor in the UK and in the USA. Americans don't find it very funny when a group of people is made fun of (black people, white people, hillbillies... except for Canadians maybe), while you don't have a problem with a bit of banter between the English, Welsh and Scottish. You can do amazing things with mimics and gestures - a simple slap on the head will do nicely at times, Americans usually need to back it up with some strong words. Americans love to curse. They use "fuck" as any possible kind of word. A straight-forward "fuck". You guys? Tit, twat, gobshite, arse, git... even though I know what those words mean, they don't sound so "in the face". Americans tend to go for the punch lines - the shorter the joke, the better. I'm a huge Monty Python fan, and that philosophy football skit was one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen, especially the fact that the only goal was offside. In my oppinion, the British humor has more meaning, and the American humor is more effective for "cheap", but huge laughs. In a movie, or a TV show, an American would slip, fall down and yell "motherfucker". An Englishman would slip, somehow manage to fall on top of the Queen and tell her "God save you". Now, you should see the Croatian version of this show, 5 vs 5 it's called. Bloody awful.
