The tip is swivels and a mess of different-sized extensions. 10-Minutes per corner, 10-minutes setting up (removing the battery, intake, washer fluid tank), 10-minutes reinstalling extras, 5-Cleaning up. 10MM, 12MM short socket, 3/8 spark plug socket, 2" extensions is a must + longer 4", 8" extensions and swivel. Angled 12MM wrench for passenger rear coil pack (turnable wrench that angles for me).
Get a 8” piece of hose and slide it over the spark plug and thread them into the heads instead of using the spark plug socket then all you have to do is tighten for final seat. Can’t cross thread that way either. I’ve used this method servicing outboards for the last 30 years👍

Put these in today and getting misfire error. Finding out that 2019 and newer models are now gapped from factory at .024 instead of .030 like before. Im guessing this is where the issue is
Haven't heard of that change, but make sure everything is properly in place or you didn't crack a plug. Do not over tighten the plugs as they can crack and cause this issue.
Eternal, get the NGK 5245. I’ve tried the the 2309 and gap to what my tuner recommended and always got random miss fires. Switched to the NGK 5245 and never had an issue. They are 1 step cold and should be pre gap to .24.
The AOS is a PITA. I was going to DIY but after going over the instructions, watching install videos, and realizing I didn’t have the equipment to do it I took it to the local shop. If you have the time, knowledge, and equipment then go for it lol

That engine bay is super clean 👍🏼.. yes I will this weekend .. I just had my timing belt replaced at 98k and I told the mechanic also do the spark plugs while your at it and he said he forgot all about it 🤦🏻♂️.. didn't charged me for the spark plug so that's good ..
I keep seeing conflicting information on fitment, Crawford says these will work for a 19 sti but on ngks site it only shows Mitsubishi and this stays the same when checking other sites? So do I put this into my 19 sti? I’m running usually 19.5 lbs of boost but the fitment verification has me hesitating
@@shooky1092 I find a lot of STI parts in general fit / work with most years, and tons of sites have weird incompatible/not listed years etc. Its quite a hassle sometimes to figure it out especially when theyre hiding part numbers lol

Hmm haven’t had that happen to me. Disconnecting the battery can make the car a little loopy at first. I’d try driving around a bit to see if it goes away.
@@Autofreakgarage I did do the job on a pretty steep incline of my driveway so maybe it threw some sensor out of wack. Hopefully the car will sort itself out

Yes I picked swivel joints after this job knowing I would be doing this again in the future.

My 2019 STI has 23,000 miles so far. I plan on spark-plugs around 35K mark. My car is bone-stock just a bolt-on catback exhaust.

My first time on my 2018 FXT which has the FA20 took me 2 hours. Passenger side was easier than driver side for sure. And my hands are large.
I didn't see you add anti-seize lubricant on the spark plug's threads. Would you recommend using anti-seize or is it no longer needed?
Wouldn’t hurt to throw a tad on, but the original ones I took off didn’t have it and they came off no problem.

Yes, I would check and make sure they are all gapped the same.

Is a pro or E tune needed for one step colder plugs? I keep hearing mixed things.
Doesn’t matter. If you are over 18lbs on either, one step colder is recommended.

Yes. Anytime the battery resets, your mpg and peak boost will be reset. No you do not need to retune it.

First time doing spark plugs on my 2020 sti gapped at .22 should I keep them there or gap them at .28 like u ?
.022 is pretty tight. I would get some new ones to properly gap at the .028

15.2lbs. Or tighten until gasket hits the head and turn 1/4-1/2 more.
