I've had so many maths professors who were crap at arithmetic, so Paul being good at it is not that obvious
I study maths and I’ve legit divided 4 by 4 and gotten 4. What’s worse is a week later I did the same thing with 8
I still count on my fingers, anything bigger than single digit numbers I need a calculator. I am no math grad, but I aced all my maths subjects in engineering, so I am not too bad at it either.

There is an episode of Taskmaster where Joe Thomas does a bunch of math in his head and I saw in the comments a bunch of women just loosing it at how sexy he was and my female roommate confirmed that it was sexy. I thought it was a little odd that girls were so turned on by him being good at math. And then I found clips of this show and saw Rachel knocking out math problems like it was nothing and totally understood.

how does a normal human look at 930 and instantly know that's 62x15? Rachel is incredible.
She's good at maths, that's why she's on the show.
On a side note, you can see that 62 is 2/3 of 93, so 15x would equal 930.

She probably looked at it and knew that anything with a hundreds number that's a multiple of 3 (because 300 = 30 x 10) and has 30, 60, or 90 at the end of it is divisible by 30. She probably tried to make 25 + 6 work at first, because that's 31 immediately, but you can't make 30 with the remaining numbers, so she would have moved on to 62 x 15 next.

62 x 10 is 620, then add half of it again, 620 + 310 = 930.
For the 930 ( 2:44 ) one there’s a much easier way.
25x4=100
100x9=900
50x6=300
300/10=30
900+30=930

Which is basically the same with the multiplication and division in a different order.
Sometimes, I think Rachel tries to be kind by not using the simplest method.

100x7=700, 700-9=691, 691-(8/8)=690

I'm so used to it having such fucked up solutions that I always miss the obvious way. That 904 one, I did 75×3=225+1=226×4=904. It took me so long and I was so proud of it and then I realised it was way easier

16 x 42 is 672
And then 672 - 10 is 662
Idk how I was able to do this in 30 seconds but I got the answer to the first one lmao

The odds are pretty high actually.
They came up 1,2,3,4,5, and 6.
3x4=12
12+5=17
17x6=102
1+2=3
3x102=306
And there are a lot more ways to do it, that was just the easiest.

75*(8+4) + 3 + 1 = 904
Probably took me longer than half a minute and I went a long way around but ((9 x 8) + 25) x (2 + 3) = 485 too. That’s the trouble with being a pure mathematician, you get shit at doing quick arithmetic and always look for a more complicated solution.
