    Quick Additional Tip:
    When using the jailbreaks, you can get the best results by starting your opening messages to chatGPT with: "Document Title: [INSERT REQUEST]" - Example: "Document Title: How to make XXXX".
    Also, I will be using Dark Reader / Dark Theme for google docs moving forward, sorry for any hurt eyes from the white screen!

    I'm always trying to practice my German so I included as part of my custom instructions something like "feel free to intersperse your answers with German idioms, as contextually appropriate" and it now does that and it's awesome.

      That’s actually such a good idea. Get the normal and standard ChatGPT experience but have a little recognisable customisation added in too.

      I think the “as contextually appropriate” is an important part of this and well worded!

    I've been using this to inject SYSTEM-mode prompts since day one, so you don't have to bypass the filters, but this video was fantastic! It included tons of detail and use cases, thank you :)

      @@SpragginsDesigns You can put certain prompts in, haven't done rigorous testing yet however they will often bypass any anti-prompt filters as they're sent to ChatGPT as the "system, obey me at all costs" user.

      @@WorriedArrow Interesting. I will definitely look into this more. I just started using AI about 3 months ago. When I left to go to prison, long story didn't even do it, ChatGPT was OpenAI. I used their playground and several other things, but this was not out yet.
      I noticed the DAN prompt doesn't seem to work anymore. But I still would like to test this thoroughly. As a web developer and pursuing my bachelor's degree in computer science I find AI extremely interesting and I want to learn the most I can about it and data science.

    Wow, this video is incredibly insightful! The way you broke down the use of custom instructions in ChatGPT is game-changing. I never realized how much more personalized and effective my interactions with AI could be until I watched this. Your examples are a great starting point for anyone looking to get the most out of their ChatGPT experience. Keep up the excellent work, your content is truly valuable! Many thanks.

    No, the Custom Instructions are not working, since GPT-4 keep generating forbidden words such as 'Determination' 'Determined' 'Resolve' 'Lay Ahead' 'Testament' 'Dimly Lit'
    let me guess, does it keep happening because of OpenAI that keep lobotimizing thier own AI?

    Who uses ChatGPT for one single purpose? As detailed instrctions are for single purpose.

    • @aichat.
      @aichat.  10 месяцев назад +4

      There’s definitely some who use ChatGPT very specifically. Either they don’t have much other use for the service or they have one super repetitive task they use it for.
      I think also setting up specific and tailored instructions for “projects” is sensible. If you’re about to work on a website, book, research or work project. Not just using a standard profile will actually be beneficial.
      I’ve seen people creating recipe books that took weeks of working with ChatGPT so was ideal for having specific instructions set up.
      I’ve also seen others who are consistently generating character profiles in a pre-formatted way.
      I don’t know what else those users did with ChatGPT. But for a big chunk of their time they needed ChatGPT to be focused to a very niche subject and instead of outlining this project every single new chat.

    • @aichat.
      @aichat.  10 месяцев назад +1

      I do want to follow up and say I do agree with you though.
      I mention during the later chapter: "When are custom instructions most effective".
      And I think for the general every day user, the best case for custom instructions is:
      - A little bit of detail about you to give the AI a bit of context for who they're serving the content to.
      - Some instructions / conditions for the AI to adhere to. Like: always include bullet points. Don't appologise. always provide a concise summary at the end of a response. Etc.
      So no need to outline who the AI will be if you're just popping in and out of ChatGPT for misc tasks.
