    This is interesting. I used to do this with regular prompt engineering via role prompting. You just took things a few steps further.I do believe what u did may be of use to educators and teachers...giving students a different way of learning.If u could polish this up,make it pretty,you could sell this.....Btw if u could network several book gpts together,you could create a cross pollination effect & create unusual solutions

    You can probably teach ChatGPT to create GPT's based upon your own logic in creating GPT's. That way, once it learns, you just tell it what you're thinking, suggest a source, and off it goes.

    I have so many personal notes on my observations of life, insights, things that come to my mind. Sometimes they come quickly and disappear shortly after writing them. Probably 10000+ pages from over the years. But it’s all unorganized. I wonder if something like this could consolidate the information in a similiar way to the pdf used in this video. To me, this would be like asking god questions. ❤ especially if it translates over to the 4o version. A physical conversation with my deepest self. What a concept!

    I have not had good experiences with the custom GPT's - it feels to me like something in the guard rails they implemented to protect the proprietary GPT instructions, for the GPT store, really screw with the models and degrade the performance. I couldn't get one to use a simple JSON template for gathering information. Even after giving it an explicitly typed structured definition with super clear directions to just follow the template and collect the info. Couldn't do it.

    • @jaymethodus3421
      @jaymethodus3421 9 месяцев назад +2

      Can you elaborate a bit? As I understand you, you mean that there were guardrails put into the custom ones you got from the gpt store, and it seemed like it fundamentally degraded performance?

    • @joshuaonly
      @joshuaonly 9 месяцев назад

      oh. big time. big big big time. Trying to give specialized knowledge to one of these things - don't bother, you'll be lucky if it can get basic instructions right. I've tried, nope. Gave it time, came back - nope. Gave feedback, allowed more time to get it right. Finally, I went and gave custom GPTs a (probably final) fair chance, only to find, after lower the bar multiple times, that this thing, despite SUPER specific instructions, could not output to me contents of a .json, either in plain text or with the extension. Could not do it. I give up.@@jaymethodus3421

      @@jaymethodus3421 from what I understand, that's exactly his point, and it aligns with my experience. I found one that was supposed to be tailored to my situation, acting like a lawyer with expertise in German employment law. However, it failed to cite even the most basic relevant laws and offered advice on, and some of its information was completely incorrect.
