Too far gone is one of the best episodes if not the best of the entire series. Seriously the speech and the battle was epic. Nothing else after even comes close.
This episode holds my favourite Rick Grimes moment ever. The rage he got seeing someone about to SA his son just sent him into a full on insane savage man. Stabbing that guy over and over to make him suffer for even touching his boy. It was brilliant seeing him rip that guys neck open. RICK GRIMES EVERYONE
YES. like, thats exactly how willing a parent should be to protect their kid. as someone who waited two years to tell my mom i was assaulted, and then blamed by my mom for it, this scene with Rick lowkey makes me unwilling to ever hate him. idk exactly how old i was when i first watched the scene, it was def after i was 15 tho. i always knew Rick was conventionally attractive but i wasn't personally attracted to him until that scene lol (because obvi, i was a teen and he's a full grown man)
Fully agree with you Rob, I enjoy Rick and Michonne's sweetness toward one another as well. You can see how since 4x09 they've gotten much closer than before, Carl included. I love that it was them Daryl came across. Hell of a group.
I also want to note how interesting it is that Glen and that group didn't even think to be cautious, they just walked in but Rick was and chose to hide weapons on the outside of the fence, walked through the back end and watched to see if they were a threat. Brilliant!
I’m glad you got the “they’re fu**ing with the wrong people” there’s another version that was played on live tv “they’re screwing with the wrong people” it gives so much character and dramatization to the show and there’s few times in this show that they sensor things that I wish they wouldn’t have because I love to feel exactly how they feel in the crazy moment.
There are a lot of standout episodes of TWD but this one has always stuck with me with a kinda pit in my stomach. Between the "Deliverance guy" threatening Carl, Rick bitting the guys throat out, the threat of Cannibalism and Rick dropping the show's first F bomb there were a lot of moments that stay with you. I loved seeing Herschel again.
8:29 It's a small detail but I always loved the way they decided to have Rick's eyes blacked out with the lighting while he stabbed the rapist to death. Just looked so badass.
So, now it is time to reveal that the jacket rick is wearing is called his murder jacket and it is the best character in the show. On with the comic comparison (this one is real quick) So, the major scene in this episode is adapted pretty faithfully with rick and carl. The only differences are it was a random group that ambushed them, no one from our group knew them. Also instead of daryl and michonne being there, rick and carl were with abraham. This event happened on the way to ricks hometown though the events of what happened there we saw in season 3 episode 12 "clear"
Rick’s arc this season has been amazing It’s all been about him trying to suppress the brutality within himself in order to steer Carl down the right path That’s why he stepped down as leader and threw all his energy into farming He even stopped carrying his gun on him And then everything he’s built starts to unravel The prison falls and Rick sees that Carl never will be the kid he wants him to be And then the ultimate realization that Rick has failed to protect his son from the brutality of the world he’s forced to rip a mans throat out with his teeth to stop Carl being raped Incredible writing.
Rick biting out Joes throat will always be my favorite moment from this show it’s so brutal an incredible the lengths Rick will go to in order to defend his people who are his family. That’s the moment I knew Rick was my all time favorite character in any piece of media. This episode is just a 10 on all aspects
Congrats on completing season 4! I have some thoughts and opinions so this will be a long comment: Season 4’s first 5 episodes were really great to continue the prison arc with a disease going around instead of people fighting. I like that we got to have character development with the new character Bob going along with Daryl, Michonne and Tyreese to get medicine. The prison arc ends with the governor destroying everything and leaving the group scattered. I loved the fight scene with the governor and rick with michonne coming in and saving rick. The first half of season 4 was really good. The second half of season 4 was crazy with multiple stories being played. I liked Daryl’s and Beth’s friendship being made during this. Carol feeling guilt as well about killing Karen’s and finally telling Tyreese what she did left with a feel of dread. It’s insane that Lizzie killed Mika and when I first saw I was in disbelief. I love the new group that comes with Eugene, Abraham and Rosita. Shows that the world isn’t all bad with people. The ending of season 4 with rick ripping out joes throat shows how far rick has gone. Showing his inner Shane which I really enjoyed. Terminus was a shine of hope but looks like it turned out to be to good to be true. Plus the best line ever, “they’re fu**ing with the wrong people”. This was shorter than I wanted but I have to leave soon so that’s all I have to say for season 4. I hope you enjoyed season 4 and good luck with season 5! - Bub8les
Rick brought out his savage with that Claimer group when he bit Joe’s throat you don’t mess with his boy I love the scene where he and Daryl are talking about all that happened afterwards and Rick told him you’re my brother.
I friggin' love this episode and especially the moment when Rick takes out Joe. I also love how all the other "claimers" went into shock at what just happened, giving Michonne and Daryl their chance to take 'em out. They didn't know who they were F***ing with until that moment. I seriously can't wait for you guys to see the next episode.
I’m not sure if you’ve already noticed this, but when Rick and the group first enter they see the woman broadcasting the message of Terminus on the radio, “Those who arrive survive.” In Season 4 Episode 3, when Daryl, Michonne, Bob, and Tyreese are driving you can hear it on the radio in static. Foreshadowing 13 episodes ahead.
Been waiting for this all day, glad to see you finally react to this episode. One of my fave finales and I love how brutal Rick becomes. It's just a strong character journey
One of my all time favorite episodes! Hershel flashbacks....Rick saying Daryl is his brother...Rick and Michonne's " You're OK, I'm OK" conversation...Claimer Joe getting his throat ripped out... The gang is back together again. Terminus is a trap! "They're f**kin with the wrong people." So good!! 🔥❤️
We see a lot of dirty Rick, like everyone else in this rotten world, but from now on there will be so many scenes of blood on the face that oscillates between victory and defeat all the time and that's good, because the series seeks a limit of realism that matches the situation of any human in these conditions of constant threats. The main thing is that it goes to the bottom and always returns. I love Rick Grimes so much, I agree even when he's wrong, because he's always pondering, even if in a fraction of a second and acting to get it right, he's my alter ego🤠Great Reaction!
The scene where rick bites joes neck is next level and he is at his peak here and its just gonna get better and better from here season 5 is basically savage rick and the beard is gonna go crazyyy
The Hershel flashbacks was to show the birth of Farmer Rick (as fans called him) The rest of the episode was showing the death of Farmer Rick and the rebirth of the Warrior.
One thing to note that I haven't seen in the other comments is, back in the first episode this season, Rick discouraged Carl from naming the pigs, because they were going to be food. And what does Gareth do when he's rounding up Rick and his gang? Calls them not by their names which he knows, since they introduced themselves earlier, but uses nicknames. Ringleader, archer and samurai.
Rick has a lot more rage to unleash. That look in his eyes becomes more recognizable, almost like that Clint Eastwood squint. When you see it, you don't dare blink. The Terminus episodes are intense. Next season is just as powerful, and emotional. Steady on, Rob.
Can you imagine watching this when it originally aired then having to wait many months to see the next episode?! Love reliving these episodes with you but so glad it will only be days instead of months before we see your next reaction!
I'm so glad you guys are watching the one where Rick dropped that epic F Bomb. In the original airing, he says something different and it never felt right lol.
It's so crazy how far into the show you already are. Feels like yesterday I watched the first episode with you 😂 What I find funny is how Carls actor is almost exactly as old as me, just a few months older. So I could always see myself so well in the way he grew up through the show and imagine myself in his shoes 😂
So much happened in this episode, so it was great to see and hear both your reactions. I’m addicted 🤣😂🤣 absolutely amazing reactions can’t wait for Sunday 😊
this episode gives me goosebumps every time and I think I've watched it like 100+ times. It is incredible. The whole episode has you on the edge of your seat. So many amazing moments. This episode solidified TWD as being a piece of art for me and it gets even better from here!!!
When Rick suddenly knocked that plate out the woman’s hand he saw the orange backpack Glenn’s riot gear being worn and Daryl’s poncho and the watch he knew something was up.
I remembered it was in Season 5 where Rick finally bit someone like a zombie, so it was S4 finally. Love that scene. "What the hell you gonna do now, sport?" 7:49
“Take that you..muthafukah!!” Never fails to make me laugh. I love watching your reaction and hearing Trin. I love her accent and the way she says stuff; amazing!! I binged all of you guys’ reaction videos in a day 😅
I've been waiting for you to react to this episode for so long and your reactions were perfect I loved this video. also, if you remember back to the episode where Daryl Tyrese, bob and Michone were driving to get medication there was a voice on the radio from the people at terminus. you can briefly hear the words terminus and survive. I think that's a cool foreshadow
in that final shot of rick saying "there fucking with the wrong people" you can see that a shadow is casted over one of his eyes like an eyepatch showing hes gone full governor
Another fantastic episode! Season 4 was the best for me - amazing writing, acting, everything. That scene with Rick and the Claimers, with his son watching on, the scene imprinting in his mind - so brutal, so understandable.
Rob and Trin during S4Ep8:. "Rick needs to grow a backbone. He's a bit spineless at the moment". Me, over here patiently waiting for S4Ep16: 🤭😂 Aside from that, Rick ripping out Joe the Claimers throat is still my favorite TWD moment of all time.
The contrast between your reactions for zombie guts in season 1 to your reaction of rick ripping a mans throat out with his teeth s4 😅. Welcome to the fandom haha it gets worse 🤣.
The constant battle in our group (in themselves) to stay the course of good in a world which respects only the human elements akin to the dark side is fascinating. Great reaction. Love you guys.
The way Rob knew, once Rick tilts his head it’s over 😂. Great reaction Rob and Trin I always love coming back from work on scheduled TWD days and having a good laugh or cry with you guys ! Keep up the great work
this episode out of 11 seasons is one of my fave episodes tbh and i'm deft excited to see your reaction to future episodes too as the seasons for you guys go on considering how furious and livid you were in this episode.
Literally my favorite Rick scene.. Red Rick is exactly the lengths a parent would go to. No hesitation. It's also the one of the craziest scenes on TV.
What i love about your guy’s reactions to this show is you have been fairly accurate on your gut feelings with specific people so far. Another great reaction guys. 👍 keep in mind, all these episodes have little “easter eggs” and clues for future stories.
4:00 Now that was some great visual foreshadowing right there. It lays out exactly how the Termites entrap our people by episode's end. 9:25 But you guys also forget that is was Hershel who told Rick to pick up his gun again. It was Rick who over-adjusted. There's a time to be a farmer and a time to be a gunslinger. I think Hershel's lesson is to always try for peace but to also be ready to fight. 12:03 While a certain ruthlessness is needed to survive this world, it's still encouraging to know that Rick and Carl are now aware they went too far. You can't always be in kill mode. It's a very slippery slope to become a monster like the Governor, or the Claimers, or the Termites we just met. 17:30 In regards to the episodes title, "A" is the train car they were forced into which implies there's other train cars with people trapped within. There's this efficiency to this trap that our new villains have clearly done multiple times before. 18:40 Epic line. Can you believe they censored that when it first aired on TV?! I guess censors have loosened since then because the f-bombs are dropped much more freely in later seasons. I'm sure you guys saw the episodes already but are you aware some season 5 episodes have post-credit scenes? It'll be 5x1, 5x8, and 5x16. Also, are you aware that by this point a spinoff series launched? Season 1 of Fear the Walking Dead aired between seasons 4 and 5 of the main series. It explores the very beginning of the apocalypse. Is that something you guys might check out?
Comic Comparisons : First the scene with Joe and the Claimers runs a bit different in the comics Daryl isn’t there because he doesn’t exist in the comics Rick Abraham (instead of Michonne) and Carl are ambushed by three random bandits It’s heavily implied that they’re gonna rape Carl to the point they take off most of Carl’s clothes save for his undergarments The rest of the scene goes as in the show Rick rips one of their throats out with his teeth Abraham kills the other and Rick brutality kills the one who was going to rape Carl Undoubtedly the most skin crawling scene in all of TWD. Second : Terminus doesn’t exist in the comics but the concept of the people do Rick’s line in the comics is They’re fucking with the wrong people but because it’s on TV they had to censor it you can hear Rick say that line on the Blu Ray DVD which features the uncensored version of the Season 4 finale.
Savage Rick ACTIVATED!!!! Gosh, I ♥ Rick Grimes. I love seeing the determination in his eyes right when he's decided what he's gonna do next and it's for the well being of his friends and family. He's such a beast. You know he makes good on a proper threat. You DON'T want to fuck with this man. Rick all the way. Can't wait for your reaction to season 5. Let's go!!!!
Rick: "They're gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out."
Abraham: "Find out what?"
Rick: "They’re F***ing with the wrong people." 🤭😎

I love the new group that comes with Eugene, Abraham and Rosita. Shows that the world isn’t all bad with people.
The ending of season 4 with rick ripping out joes throat shows how far rick has gone. Showing his inner Shane which I really enjoyed.
Terminus was a shine of hope but looks like it turned out to be to good to be true.
Plus the best line ever, “they’re fu**ing with the wrong people”.
This was shorter than I wanted but I have to leave soon so that’s all I have to say for season 4.
I hope you enjoyed season 4 and good luck with season 5!
- Bub8les
Thank you Bub8les for you insights 🤗
See you in season 5!
I'm so excited!! You guys are finally here!!! This one and the next really should be one big episode 😏
I’m glad you went with the uncensored version of the episode, in the tv version Rick said their screwing with the wrong people.
When Rick bit that guys throat, a few seconds later, My Marvel vs DC Season 4 Teaser Trailer got copyrighted strikes and damaged my Mental Health
This is when Rick became Feral rick.
The scene where rick bites joes neck is next level and he is at his peak here and its just gonna get better and better from here season 5 is basically savage rick and the beard is gonna go crazyyy
What an amazing episode you’re in for next. It’s incredible. Can’t wait for Sunday!
The Hershel flashbacks was to show the birth of Farmer Rick (as fans called him) The rest of the episode was showing the death of Farmer Rick and the rebirth of the Warrior.
Your my brother. That gets everyone. Best bromance ever. Next episode is 🔥 too!!!!
7:50 Probably one of the most Epic Scene Ever-Made on Earth
so many legendary Moments in this episode. Savage Rick mode activated
Feels like yesterday I watched the first episode with you 😂
What I find funny is how Carls actor is almost exactly as old as me, just a few months older. So I could always see myself so well in the way he grew up through the show and imagine myself in his shoes 😂
Ikr there moving through the show faster then a lot of people do. (At least the ones who record there reactions)
So much happened in this episode, so it was great to see and hear both your reactions. I’m addicted 🤣😂🤣 absolutely amazing reactions can’t wait for Sunday 😊
Thank you so much Ann-Marie, glad you enjoy 💖
As good as the finale is the next episode is even better. Considered one of the best in the series.
Agree!
Trin made me laugh with the "New quest popped up in journal" haha.
Rick calling Daryl his brother ❤
I love how Daryl looks away, then back. Like he's checking to see if Rick really means it. Such a fantastic scene.
Rick and Daryl are legends!❤❤
this episode gives me goosebumps every time and I think I've watched it like 100+ times. It is incredible. The whole episode has you on the edge of your seat. So many amazing moments. This episode solidified TWD as being a piece of art for me and it gets even better from here!!!
Now you see why it’s called the murder jacket.
„You’re my brother“ just beautiful
“Take that you..muthafukah!!” Never fails to make me laugh. I love watching your reaction and hearing Trin. I love her accent and the way she says stuff; amazing!! I binged all of you guys’ reaction videos in a day 😅
Ring leader Archer Samurai those are some solid nicknames.
Loved the reaction to Rick's infamous line, "They're fucking with the wrong people" you guys are awesome! whooo can't wait til S5 E1
Rick was disorientated by the gunshot, hence the wobbly camera.
Can you believe the rest of us had to wait a painful 7 months for the next episode!?
I like how this show gives different flavors of villains. They all feel drastically different.
22:40
The actor's name is Cillian Murphy :D
He played the scarecrow !
That scene will forever be the opening to Carl Poppa.
7:54 Ladies and Gentlemen, May I present to you with Honor & Glory the New & Improved Rick GRIMMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He IS The Walking Dead!
Rick Grimes ladies and gentlemen!
in that final shot of rick saying "there fucking with the wrong people" you can see that a shadow is casted over one of his eyes like an eyepatch showing hes gone full governor
Me, over here patiently waiting for S4Ep16: 🤭😂
Aside from that, Rick ripping out Joe the Claimers throat is still my favorite TWD moment of all time.
I've been dying to see your reaction to this one!!! It's a good one!!! One of my favourites!!
Keep up the great work
still gives me chills hearing ricks last line of the season lol
SOOOO glad you got to see the adult version of the last line. knew you guys would love this episode. one of my favs. great job guys.
I actually can’t believe i have received the most amount of hearts from you guys thank you!😭🔥
Rick? Any questions? Oh my goodness, now I remember why I love this man. Great reaction Rob and Trin. I am sooo ready for the next one
this episode out of 11 seasons is one of my fave episodes tbh and i'm deft excited to see your reaction to future episodes too as the seasons for you guys go on considering how furious and livid you were in this episode.
I have always liked how the snare trap explanation earlier in the episode mirrors what happens at Terminus.
Bearded Rick is best Rick
Literally my favorite Rick scene.. Red Rick is exactly the lengths a parent would go to. No hesitation. It's also the one of the craziest scenes on TV.
What i love about your guy’s reactions to this show is you have been fairly accurate on your gut feelings with specific people so far. Another great reaction guys. 👍 keep in mind, all these episodes have little “easter eggs” and clues for future stories.
FYI Greg nicoterro called Andy and asked him chicken or beef before knowing he had to bite Joe's throat. He chose chicken
10:06 this scene here is both norman reedus and andrew linclons favorite scene
that scene from carl about to get SA its still one of the hardest things to watch in twd for me
Still love watching these everytime they come up on notifications love seeing your guys genuine reactions and views on each scene
Rick lets out the beast after he lost Hershel.
I love y'all reactions, it's the same way to reacted when I watch them for the first time
This was one of the episodes I was most looking forward to seeing you guys react to. Definitely one of my favourite episodes!
The next episode is personally one of my top 3 in the entire show!
17:09
Rob: "what about Carl?"
Trin: "How 'bout Carl?"
Rick: MY SON!!!
And there it is my favourite episode!!!! Rick is just too amazing!!!
I love watching the intro and how it changes !!
The exact moment when I fell in love with Rick Grimes!
