Will this be released for the hobbyist version as well? I design RC model airplanes, and being able to do designs that are configurable for scale would be very useful as I don't always know up front what I want to build. :)
You mentioned a "phased release", how long will the phasing take? I only have configurations if I'm in a group. Would like it for a non-group setting. Thanks, I have a definite need for this.
Hi Craig! If you don't see configurations yet, you'll see it in the coming days. Due to the size of this update we're making sure performance is excellent for everyone and rolling it out in batches. All commercial users should see it by the end of this week.
Craig - if by "group" you mean team hub, you do have to be in a team hub for Configurations to function. The old hub type (single user storage) isn't compatible with Configurations.
@@karinaharper yeah, that's what I mean, team hub. Is there a reason for not enabling it for single end users? I have a paid legacy version of Fusion 360.
@@CraigHollabaugh It's a technical limitation. Team hubs are basically just an upgraded/improved storage, you don't need to be in a "team" to own and use one, they are available to single end users as well.
Why do configurations only support fixed values? There's still no way to use parameters in the current design to control parameters in a linked design :(
Nice that you copy features from your Inventor to Fusion360 🙂As a mechanical engineer I suggest to focus on a new rendering engine. Why don't you corporate e.g. with Epic and use the Unreal Engine as a base? Big assemblies are horror in Inventor and Fusion and the rendering of images for the customers is even worse (since over 10 years).
Is it possible to have multiple different configurations of the same component in the same file? Like if I create a apartment with multiple doors which are similar, but with different hights, so that I can create this door with different configurations and then dublicate the door-component to use in the appartment (and if I e.g. change the doorknob it will update all of them but still have the right hights)?
When I change some toolpath in one of the configurations (say, changing drilling depth) Fusion changes it in all of the configurations. Same if I delete a toolpath in one configuration, it deletes it in all configurations. It seems to be a bug to me, I think i should be able to edit individual configuration’s toolpath without affecting others
I have been needing this for SO LONG. Now I need to spend some time consolidating parts, and assemblies. DarkMode when?
Earliest user request...still pending
Love Fusion but the marketing jargon in this video is unbearable. Feels like it was generated by AI...
Not AI. Just engineers writing copy.
Agree 💯
I love it so much this tool. Bye2 Solidworks. Thanks!
Even after an update this morning...no configurations in my tenant...not sure your rollout of the major update got everyone.
Another Game Changer!!! I was seeing your progress in the last year and I'm super happy with your initial offical release.
Amazing! Will there be "ilogic" of some sort soon now?

Just buy the Software. Worth any penny
@@HK-yo4se Not possible. It is a service.

@@adskFusion thanks for fast reply.

Why is it only active in team folders?

Cmon autodesk we're approaching 2 weeks and I still don't have configs on my commercial license

Hi, is it possible to revert back from config design to design?
so Fusion basically allows iParts now?
It's Nice Thx!
awesome!
I’m on a student Id and I’m unable to get the update
