Hello Sienna, I’m new to the channel! I appreciate your constructive input and advice for foreigners to navigate the job climate in Korea!
I used to be an ESL teacher in Japan for 3 years! The biggest obstacle was coping with the work culture, which was a culture shock as a foreigner!

How was the work culture different from the US (I'm assuming)?

Hi! Thank you so much :) I have heard that foreigners struggle with the Asian work culture the most

Adan, if you struggled with work culture in Japan, it will be no different with other Asian countries. Being friendly is fine but work is handled totally different. Please dont expect that it will be the same as the Western countries do.

I graduated from a Korean university and an American university, but I was rejected because I come from a non-white or non-English country.

You will need ESL or IELTS certification for that

Thank you for the advice, I did present a TOEFL, to put MORE context to what I said, I graduated from an MBA in the United States and recently graduated from a Master in Korea, And now that I remember, I have a certification to teach at the secondary level, but that is my country and it is not in English,
