I just replaced a fuel pump in a 98 Jimmy today . What a pain it was .
Yup, worse than most pick ups.
I’m so excited 😢
Thanks for donating your time and knowledge to helping others fix their vehicles. I'm working on the same dilemma, and your Jimmy videos have helped me prepare for the work ahead. Good on ya, brother!

Sorry, when RUclips removed annotations, a lot of my links disappeared with it. This is part 2 ruclips.net/video/YzyJhENT6uA/видео.html
Thank you for pointing that out. I've added links in the video and in the description.
Too cold for me too, but being Canadian, I try to hibernate as much as possible.
Pump hooked up backwards?
My jimmy developed a fuel leak - I have no issues pulling tanks on a lift, but I dont have one at home. Is this a pain to do on the ground?
I'm sure a lift would be much easier but if you do it on the ground just be sure that the truck is lifted up enough to slide the tank out once it's off. I've never used a lift.
MudRFunR Thats impressive having never used a lift.... At least I know its doable without a lift.
I have a 2003 GMC jimmy that randomly just went out one day I was trying to leave the mall and it would not start, no start or crank , I hear a lil noise for about 3 seconds but it does nothing else , and my shifter does not move, can you tell my what it might be and how to fix it?
+michael lollie Hope I'm not too late to help. The noise that you here for 3 seconds is your fuel pump. this is normal. I don't know why your shifter won't move but I believe it may have something to do with why the engine doesn't crank. There is a safety switch on the shifter that won't allow it to start in gear. Sometimes just pushing hard towards park on the shifter will get the switch to connect. Are you still having trouble?
+MudRFunR yes, I keep hearing it's anything from fuel pump to ignition switches to battery corrosion
michael lollie The fact that you hear the pump run for a few seconds tells me that the pump is fine. Is your shifter still stuck?
+MudRFunR yes
When you turn the key on to start it, is the shifter and steering wheel still locked?
I have a 2000 gmc jimmy sle and i cant find my knock sensor any help?
