If I had a lift this video would be great. I have also found from watching some of your other videos that you conveniently fast forward when installing the hard to reach parts.
Of course the range of years was provided as those years have many similarities. What was not identified that would be helpful is the model year they are working on in this video. Early on, judging by the mirror, the truck is a 1994 model or older. I believe that after 1997? ... GM changed the fuel connections to quick connects which requires a completely different set of tools (if you want to keep from damaging the fittings) in order to disconnect the hose fittings from the tank. Then it may be a surprise if dropping your tank using this video.
My tank I ordered doesn’t have the flange that the lock ring locks In already attached to the tank but has it separate. How can I install that outer flange into the tank ? Epoxy or ?
Thank you. I have a RV 1988 Chevy G3o 5.7 I can not gaz up But now I have to get under .Can you belive these some of us have to do these in 0 degrees whether ?

That's a C-clip with a nut welded to it. In other words it's a two in one that goes clipped onto the the chassis frame, if you lost that C-clip,, you can always check your local junk yard for one or see if you can find one online. Best of luck.
at least GM had steel lines right in to the pump , to day they use plastic lines in the tank to the pump that crack or blow off , Q C is out to lunch , never by an other pump but AC Delco or Delphi . ask me I know .

I never realized what an easy job this is. I just need to install a lift and buy a transmission jack. Simple!
Well I got the job done but doing it while laying on the ground is not fun but I had to do what I had to do, thanks for the pointers guys it did help.

Having a shop instead of a couple bottle Jack's in a gravel driveway sure makes this look simple 😅
Seems like replacing the old rubber hoses would be smart while its out.

My fuel gauge reads above full and doesn’t move, I was wondering if the ground wire for the tank would cause that or the wiring from the tank
I just saw another video about this and he did say that if your fuel gauge always shows over full that it is the ground wire.
I was wondering that too, because I have the same exact issue.
thank, you for you're video.🙏
Thank you.
