Am I the only one who always forgets about Venice? When i'm trying to unite italy or dismental the papacy?
personally its malta I forget
I forget both.
I always forget Sri Lanka, lol
@@Ludovicus1769 Wrong continent.
Lol “dismentle”
Good video. I liked the first two episodes a lot cause there was a storyline with ups and downs. This one was quite straightforward with the tedious work of capturing everything. I would love to see more of the "failed" playthroughs in the future
💀
18:07 “that took three years mainly just because of how long it took.”
True!
in order to restore rome you need to have a cultural heritage from the italian region and then you need to do the unify italia decision which involves conquering the entire regions of italia and illyria (western balkans plus a small slice of the alps). after that the decision to restore the roman empire becomes available and you need to control a few additional states for it like athena, some state in thessalonika, aleppo and jerusalem. as the proper rome you can also take the decision to destroy the byzantine empire once you control the european side of their empire, it will start a war against them and when you win the entire byzantine empire becomes de jure part of imperium romanum and you can conquer anatolia by the de jure counties. at least that is the way i like to do it.
This series has been so much fun to watch, so I subscribed just now and have been doing my own similar run in CK3, including with Hellenism, which is how I found this video. I had the most issue figuring out what exactly “Illyrium” was and thought to look for a video guide. People say there’s a regional map that will show this - not on the Xbox version, I guess? Anyway, all that said, I found my way here to your excellent CK3 videos! Nicely done!
I liked how you included all the hardships. I really enjoy your style of videos. Subscribed!
I have been looking Forward to this...
Good. Twice the pride, double the fall.
Siberian Empire type of playthrough? With a starting choice like Ural or Rounala? If it also turns into an old Paganism revival religion, all the better ;). Reforming Turimism could be a unique choice as well.
I did something similar with a hybrid serer culture. Not much to do in Siberia
That's honestly one of my personal favourites, throwing a pagan revival into the mix makes doing Russian imperialism less of a "fun for a few hours, close the game and feel awful" situation for me.
Subscribed bro your channel entertaining I like your ck3 challenges hope to see you grow
I seen that he got the achievement a couple of days ago so i was just waiting for the video 😂
Funny enough that was because I started fallen eagle to make the first video thumbnail! It auto got me the achievement lmao
@@SnapStrategy An achievement is an achievement 🤷♀️😂
what an epic run! great job snap
Giving the fact on how the previous videos went, I watched this one with an impending feeling of doom to come until the very end 😂
Good job you’re doing great
that was one of the most intense ck3 stories ive ever watched, woah respect
Tries to reform Roman Empire as a Hellenistic nation, has to hire mercenaries to reclaim it.
Whats wrong with that? Use what you're given.
@@church6134I find it ironic that the Roman Empire returned not by professional armies but by mercenaries. Rome prided itself on its legions and professional armies, I'm not saying it's bad to hire mercenaries but it is a bit ironic.
@@FunkyMonkeyIi dont see how an empire this size could be established in this game without using mercenaries
When i played as Hvitserk and made Britannia (named it Nordtannia for RP reasons) i have had 5 crusades called against me and won all of them.
Defending them is actually pretty easy if you have around 10k levies since the AI comes in with small groups at first which allows you to wreck them due to disembarkment penalty even if their forces are double your size (assuming you went for gallant and make your marshal train commanders).
The issue arises if you have countries around the island like normandy for example, because the ai will also siege these since they are nearby. My way of countering that was to let them take it and kill them as soon as they come to england and unsiege it when the war score is around 90%
what an epic journey!!!
Great job good sir .loved the video. 🙂👍💯
I love you're videos. Ur my favorite ck3 youtuber
Thumbs up and comment for algorithm! Keep it up mate.
Awesome run!
"you know what I'm going to start a holy war for jeruluselum" now where have I heard that before
The comeback king!
An Apostolic Christian Mongol empire. Now that's interesting.
in my own roman restoration, i actually started in sardinia with a custom character who was already hellenic, then swore fealty to the byzantine empire with religious exemption and grew from the inside until i was big enough to take on the papacy then got independence and then it was just a matter of time.
Based, great job my guy.
Getting here may have been rough, but you made Ares proud. Good work.
This was amazing to listen to
Thanks for the play through
What’s next?
Good video!
Could you do a mega campaign at some point?
the good thing about taking Rome and the papacy land is that he cant hire mercenary's and half's his income but he can still direct crusades
I have tried this with a custom character and actually have them start as roman, this is so hard tho so mad props
When I did the Roman conquest, I have found that at some point the levies are just not worth it. The attrition and gold hit is massive. So I just stacked ungodly bonuses on my men-at-arms and knights, and had a gold chevron 10k elite army to wipe anyone. They easily defeated stacks 8 times larger than them. The ultimate stack though is the palatinae, but they unlock only in late medieval for roman cultures.
Simulates well the period of professionalization of armies
YOU are the living legend
The background music at the start sounded like hells kitchen music 😂
You should try and make bene-israel in ck3, its a formable kingdom on the western coast of India, you have to be malabaristic to do it though, but id personally say to just make a custom character.
39:19 Paradox, supporting genocide since 1243 😂😂😂
Snap will you try Jend world conquest with ironman competibal character? Its a good and fun idea if you know how to create early game space marines out of horse archers
I've never seen a Tövsköl khanate
also that lkhanate was massive. You're lucky the Mongols collapsed when they did
Pain. Suffering. Agony.
Yes. It has happened to me before. The pope still have access to the crusades from his fellow Catholic rulers
17:48 You totally didn’t clock that The Papacy had land surrounded by the HRE!
I've heard that if you change the culture of a vassals capital, they are more likely to spread it. I've only tried it once, but it did end up with the culture spreading to all their land so that's a data point showing it working!
How do you do that ?
@@lukasblast3699 just use promote culture with your steward, apply it to a dukes duchy capital, they have a decent chance of spreading it providing they personally have adapted your new culture with you
I see, thanks for the point
I think high culture acceptance might play a role too
awesome as always bro but crusades are easier to defend then you made it look lol
This was fun to watch and sure a pain to play :D
About the AI not converting culture I personally experienced my Theocratic Vassals bosnian bishops converting also culture in the land I gave them.
Oh I could watch you bully peasants all day XD
You need to manually change culture in your vassals capital and they must be adjacent to a tile with your culture aswell. Then they need cash, if all that is given, they will promote culture.
Or use the “demand promotion of culture” button, no?
@@moofin4170 the point was to get vassals to promote culture, first you need to manually promote culture in your vassals capital.
this run was inspiring
I have never really had a mongol go that well when it’s been ai so unlucky
“Pretty far” in my main game the fricking mongols smashed the HRI and the Byzantins
GG!
Btw if you removed esotericism you could have added another conversion buff which gave you +33
Is hereditary rule and royal perogative gated from Roman culture? It says it when Im hovered over it. Have been doing the Sardinia run as it seems to be the best way
In one of my playthroughs mongols took HRE and the Byzantines. Almost whole europe was mongol lol
Please do the DTR MOD I've been waiting for you to play it. ITS THE BOMB!!
Bombards are sweet, dismantling the papacy is sweeter
Ah yes resurgence of pax Roma invicta
If you an enemy holy order in your lands just pin the grandmaster and check all their holdings that are in your lands and you can therefore revoke.
the best part of watching 2 hours of youtube videos of a game. is losing interest in buying and playing the game afterwards. thank you youtube content creators for satisfying my need to play and conquer games. by posting videos of you doing it for me. Thus saving thousands of hours of gameplay and saving me ten of thousands of dollars from not buying the games or their expansions.
a big thumbs up on the video+1 like
Same
World Conquest when? :D
World Conquest time!!!!!!
here we go again
33:12 🤙🏿🍻
You retreated from the battle
try Georgia it will be interesting
somebody please explain how does he have this amazing level of performance in 1200??
Is that Coat of Arms mod?
What’s the most fun way to play?
Honestly, if you have a decent amount of *powerfull* MaA then you can just ditch levies unless you are stupidly outnumbered. I recall regularily winning battles 10/1.
has he done a mongal empire video? if so can anyone direct me to it
you mean the Roman (real) Roman Empire?
Are you gonna play Total War Pharoah? I don't think a lot of youtubers will be playing it just because of Total warhammer 3.
the dutch right now:
so much to your problems in your previous run :y bruh I've played CK3 for over 560 hours already, but I've never had 30k gold, nor 51k troops in any run, ever. I think when I created the Roman Empire at one point, I've had, like, 15k troops. But okay, I have to add that I started in 867 and I was done around 1000 I think. So this _could_ be a reason why your army is so incredibly more powerful than my was, because you were 200 years ahead when fighting the pope etc. It's just a guess though. I normally don't play my runs to 1200 AD.
Edit: 23:27 lol
Why is the Mongol empire apostic?
Mods used?
Why do you love attrition so much?
Can u give us a guide or something else for noobs
Lore of I Revived the HELLENIC ROMAN EMPIRE in Crusader Kings 3 momentum 100
You should unite India next because it will be just as hard as this + the views because it INDIA
Do you play multiplayer ever?
can you unite the world
Ok, so what's stopping you from doing a WC after?
Time and boredom;)
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
19:30 ... 🧐
I love how it’s impossible for you to do these things and just complain about the challenge being hard
see which barony holy order requested
Getting bodyguards
educating your children and not skipping over the prompt
boosting men at arms accordingly
Hi
Nice job but you play a bit too fast, it would be nice to see a slower gameplay with more immersion and actually doing things for a reason (for example, not just conquering a random county in Italy when you are a duke in England)
No hate, love your vids, just some constructive criticism
He’s got his other channel snap snap which is a slower play.
I wish this game was more difficult
I'm bout to BUST!!!
Day 4 of asking snap strategy to play the fallen eagle mod as romulus the last western roman emperor in the 476 start date
Btw can someome tell if romulus is in this
If you know say it on the replies
hes not you can find all of the roman emperors in the byzantine title history but it doesn't show the western ones
Is he on the fallen eagle mod?
@@xllunuimxb5492 bro if you dont even know if the guy is in the mod then why are you requesting it?
@@sillychillyhillyfillymilly1209 stop being negative homie
@@xllunuimxb5492 I dont know but I know julius nepos who was the second last emperor and the one recognised by the east is in illyria and can request troops to reclaim the empire
Hellenic is Greek there's no such thing as a Hellenic roman empire there was a Hellenic Greek era though
NEEEERD
🤓☝️
We call Rome Hellenic because they were inspired by the greeks. And they conquered the greeks and were seen as inheritors.
@@TheFreeThought ok and I'm telling you that that is an incorrect way to refer to the roman empire they were not Hellenic they were the end to the Hellenic way of life
"Hellenic Roman Empire" smh go back to history class lol.
That's Greece no?
