No.. DNS we are blocking enter Domain .. bur URL Filter we are blocking specific Context... but here FortiGurd will work for both the services.

what is the difference between URL and Application Control? ... what i understand UR L and Application Control we are blocking the CONTEXT.. hope there is no much difference here .. pls correct me i am wrong

An example, web filter is set to block Facebook
This will block all of face book period.
Application control can allow you to block specific things like blocking just face book messenger and allow everything else etc.
