Slicks Only Night

Drag Slick Only Night at one of my local Drag Strips Great Lakes Dragaway (Union Grove, Wisconsin) on Thursday August 31st, 2023. I wanted to share this special night with you because it had a large turn out with a lot of fast cars for a Test and Tune night in which they only allow Drag Radials and Drag Slicks on the track because they are prepping it like they would for a main event type of show.
They do this most every Thursday in the Summer Time and it is interesting to see who is showing up for this. Great Lakes Dragaway is located halfway between two large cities Milwaukee and Chicago so at any given night some really cool cars can show up to either test for the next big show coming up or just try and go for a new personal best.
In this video some of the Chicago Wise Guys cars showed up and are 6 second capable cars at well over 200 mph. And it was really neat so see some other grudge racing cars that were putting on a really good hit and then going hard on the brakes before the finish to not give there time to the world but still pulling off a 7 or 8 second pass.
