hey man i was able to get connected the camera to the hotspot but no luck with pairing it with wifi. Once i'm outside of the hotspot it doesn’t record anything. Can you help me out with this
Be aware! This camera does not have any local security. That means that any person connected to your wifi network will be able to see the camera feed WITHOUT the need to put any user or password.
Hi, can it record to the SD card in 4k / 1080p? The manual is not clear on this. It says Video Recording is only 1080p/720p while photos are 4k. It also says to save space when using loop mode it records in 720p. Thanks
@BigC Vlogs thanks for the feedback....i just got it, hooked it up. My problem-i want to use it as a live rear view camera. The picture comes in reversed. Stuff on my right- is on my left, etc. Have you seen a way to invert or flip the live feed?
How do I connect to my cell phone only? I do not want the camera showing on the owner's home network? He is the reason, I'm purchased it, I need to catch him, with only me being notified. Do I have to register my email etc., I rather not, I have no intention of connecting to Facebook, Twitter or Chatting. Just want to use my cell phone.. ShIt! I think my phone is connected to the house! How can I make myself INVISIBLE on his network? I don't want the HIDVCAM showing up. It will alert him of any changes..

How is this possible if you view camera thru the app?
Because the camera, as most cameras, create local stream (ONVIF). If you scan your network with an app like Tinycam you will find that stream there.

Also, as I remember, it was unstable without live internet connection.
@@6thedays that is for the app account, not the rtsp stream. As I remember. I returned it months ago.

I don't think it can record video in 4k. My understanding is it takes 4K photos and 1080p videos. (720p if it's on loop recording)
I've ordered one recently. Waiting for it to get here... any chance an android watch can be used as a live feed monitor?
I highly doubt it. I think it would only show you a live feed from your phone.

I think that would work... I didn't try it myself but its a wifi signal and the product wont really know its a hotspot so it SHOULD work.
