I bought a Scag with a Kawi, previous owner ran it out of oil, probably because the oil seal leaked. I had to pound the crank out of the Plain Bearing as well. First attempt installing the new Plain Bearing, I think it got squeezed and crank will not fit into bearing. I need to take some measurements and then maybe remove bearing, again. Thanks for the video.

My guess is that the governor gear flew apart and the engine over reved is what caused the crankshaft to seize!

Fd620d is bad for fuel in crankcase which causes bearing failure.

the carbs needle rubber tip gets brittle and leaks while under pressure while not running. will show up as higher oil level than initial on stick.

    Was the crank toast?
The aluminum bushing welds to the crank. wondering if it can be cleaned up.

The engine that I took apart, the bearing was shot. The bearing is made of a softer metal and will wear out before the crank. Replace the bearing and cleanup the crank and it should work.

You really should not be working on engines. Obvious you know little to nothing about engines.
