  • Bill is joining us as a very special guest bravely sharing his painful and traumatic journey. Bill’s story begins in his infancy dealing with a mother who had postpartum depression. This evolved into a life of trauma that spanned every type of abuse possible, while also dealing with conflicting sexual identity, substance abuse, and more. Bill gets real and raw and does not hold back on why he was a traumatic drinker. He and Annie discuss the difference science and self-compassion can make on this journey of healing, the incredible power of the pause, and the impact The PATH had on Bill’s journey.
This podcast does touch on many issues dealing with emotional, physical, sexual and mental abuse that can be triggering to some individuals. Please proceed with caution if these issues cause you pain or strife.
How To Talk To Your Kids About Alcohol
Wouldn’t it be great if our children never had to go through the pain and challenges we faced in our own relationship with alcohol?
This is my greatest wish for my own kids and it’s why I created the most important course I have ever offered - “How To Talk To Your Kids About Alcohol.” If you’ve struggled with alcohol and you’re not sure what to tell your kids about it…If you want to create a relationship with your children that is based upon mutual respect, mutual trust, and open communication…If you know that this conversation is the most important talk you’ll have with your children and it can’t wait any longer…Then this course is for you. It includes lifetime access to six video modules, a bonus recorded Q&A session where I answer questions from parents just like you, an interactive workbook, and our private and exclusive How To Talk To Your Kids About Alcohol online community where you can connect with others who are also navigating this important conversation. Visit tnmind.co/httt... to learn more and enroll today.
And as always, rate, review and subscribe to this podcast as it truly helps the message reach somebody who might need to hear it today.

Hi! So that's me. I was listening to Week 15 in my Coaching Program today, and Annie talked about being vulnerable in our stories, and how important that was. We create connections through our vulnerability so others can be vulnerable with us - aka Connection. So today's Coaching Lesson helped me understand that even though I was not polished nor a pro in this podcast, I was honest and vulnerable and I hope those in my community, the LGBTQ+ community, see this and find their path change their relationship with alcohol. Either with me as a Coach, Coaching This Naked Mind, or through This Naked Mind directly. However you get there, go with love, go with grace and compassion because you deserve it. BTW, when I took my last Day 1, my husband stopped drinking for 30 days (because I asked him for the support). 400+ AF days later and Jon's probably had 5 beers around me. He's been such a major support and I love him dearly for it. I'm a really lucky guy. AFAF!

Bill your story has resonated with so many - way beyond just your community. The struggles you speak of are universal and your light has shined for them!

Wow thank you Bill and thank Anne, such kindred souls. We realise that we are all one and all in this together.
No one ultimately can do this alone. We all need that sense of purpose, bonded by the love and acts of kindness of all.
At the end of the day, we are all trying to do the best that we can with the knowledge we have remembered deep within us, at any moment in time. Beautiful and many blessings for all the good you do Anne and your team. And Bill as Anne said, you are in the process of becoming a phenomenal coach who will guide with love so many people into the light 🙏😊❤️

Amazing story! You`ve found your soul mate! Sometimes we really have met in another life, I always get goose bumps hearing stories like that. I also started with Allen Carr and then found Annie! Never want to go backwards again. Its not worth it. There is such a great momentum in reconcilliation, peace and forgiving. I also believe that even people who did bad things maybe couldnt have done it in any other way with the mindset they had in that particular time. It`s not that I approve of it. You deeply moved me, I can understand how Annie cried at the end, me too.... Thank you, for telling your story! It`s amazing how much we can grow in just one life. I definitely would have wanted you as my coach! Love goes out to you! And your husband!

What a beautiful, passionate sharing! You just need to add a warning label. Something like, "Warning, may cause both grief and happy tears. Kleenex Tissue strongly advised". Thanks, Bill, for being so open and honest and inspirational. And I totally see Annie as a rock star too! She's up there with David Bowie in my book (who by the way was alcohol and other drug free the last half of his queer, creative, boundary breaking, very much a "f*cking treasure" of a life). 🦄
