Hey awesome to meet you on here too! Just checked out your channel and love it, subscribed in a heart beat! - Where are you headed to this year? wondering if we're exploring any of the same places?
@@TheBackpackingFamily We're currently uploading our PH trip too... you guys will have an amazing time. If you have any questions about PH let us know. Message us on Instagram. We're thinking of going over to Vietnam, then South Korea/Japan, then back to India. So great to connect with you... we've just added you on Instagram 🖤
Your kids are lucky to have the entire world as their classroom and playground. With their exposure to different cultures, I'm sure they'll grow up responsible and good citizens of the world.
I love seeing how open you are very open to discovering new cultures. Your wonderful kids are not squeamish at all. They are very friendly too. People can learn from you - how you rear your boys. I’m sure they’ll grow up to be well adjusted and grounded adults.
Shout out to your boy for eating that rice he seems like a Filipino on how he ate the rice😊😘😍❤️🇵🇭🙏.Another thing bro take care of your wife i think she is pregnant.
Take caution eating salted egg on it's own. It's extremely salty and typically used in conjunction with something else to balance the very salty flavor like we used it as one of the toppings for bibingka, a charcoal baked Filipino shortbread specially popular during Christmas season, sold outside the church during the 9 day evening mass leading up to Christmas. ☺
Yes, salty eggs should be eaten with non-salted food. We usually eat with rice and tomatoes and onions. Chop tomatoes and onions and squeeze with a little bit of lime juice on it. There you go, you have your side dish and salted egg. You can mix them together, too.
the store owner or seller must tell them because that is the first time they eat that kind of food that red egg is not just like a normal boiled egg is definetely eat with rice or pair with beer
Hi Lovely Family, new country ey! Guys, we normally eat salted egg with rice or porridge here in Malaysia, guess its the same there too 🙂 Papa cant resist the Pink Tricycle and a bit funny cycling it because of his long legs and the boys looks so happy, and Darien.....so cute saying SALAMAT! Seafood looks so good, just look how Darien push whole squid inside his mouth 😄 Hudson suits the crab more cause it needs a little patient to take the meat out! What a fun day!
Yeah we finally made it here :) haha yeah Pete couldnt resist a bit of fun on that bike! so funny! always makes it fun for the kids ! Yeah the sea food was amazing and very affordable, a lot fun to explore here :) hope youre well 🙂
The 'purple egg' most commonly known as "itlog na maalat" should not be eaten alone because it's too salty. You need to mix it with tomatoes salad to balance the flavor and that's how you'll appreciate the taste.
That salted egg have to be mix with tomatoes and onions and a bit of vinegar if you'd like. It goes along with maybe a fried or baked fish. Don't eat it by itself. It is just too salty. Welcome to Philippines ❤️.
What a happy family. Philippines is the best choice for a family vacation. Palawan still has a great source of seafoods. It's very expensive here in Manila. They also have different variety of bananas. It's because of the fertile soil of the island . I'm a new subscriber.
OMG I'm in love with your family! You've got the most loving, free-spirited, pro-independence parenting styles. Your boys (and just noticed another one making its debut as a watermelon twin 😋) are going to grow up as open minded, people-loving, handsome men 👨👩👧👧 Welcome to the land of people with the most genuine of smiles and the kindest of hearts 🇵🇭 🏝 🏞 🦈 🚣♂️.
So glad you are all still enjoying travelling. I think travelling with 3 kids shall certainly be so different. How’s your pregnancy Emma with all the travelling xx
I think you''re right, I cant imagine it, a lot trial and error I imagine, more happy chaos lol. Pregnancy is going well thank you, learning to slow down a bit :)
It is just amazing how you are not intimidated trying new taste and immersing in a very strange or new culture, and I can see that your kids are the same....never hesitate to try new things....wow...adorable kids.....
Salted Eggs aren't really meant to be eaten on its own. Usually you mix it with chopped tomatoes to cut the taste, then eaten with rice (of course!) Welcome to the Philippines, lovely Family! Just remember, when you're with Filipinos, YOU ARE WITH FAMILY!❤️❤️❤️
Happy to see your enjoying your stay here in the Philippines. Just be friendly with the local but still be cautious for some might want to take advantage of you..
I was laughing the whole time because of the kids. They are adorable and love eating especially the younger one, got the chicken and ate the whole tentacles of the squid. 😂 I appreciate parents rearing their children well, spending time with them, playing with them, taking opinion from them and most of all loving them. Praying for more families like you and serve as inspiration to those who are planning to build a family.
Hi, this message really means a lot to us, feel deeply encouraged by it. Love your love for our kids, but also feel so encouraged to move to towards sharing more moments like this and creating a wholesome little space on here for people to join us. Thank you sincerely for your prayers too.
Red egg or itlog na pula is best eaten with newly cooked rice. Most Filipinos would cut it into small pieces and mixed with cut tomatoes too with vinegar and kalamansi (chopped onion, garlic and chili and pepper can be optional for a stronger flavor). Try this for red egg (salted egg).
All Filipino dishes are eaten with rice like the chicken adobo. You should have tried ordering the common Filipino breakfast like the SILOG pairs consisting of garlic fried rice and egg paired with different meat dishes, the TAPSILOG (beef tapa, SInangag or fried garlic rice and itLOG or egg) or the LOSILOG (longanisa or Filipino sausage with garlic fried rice and egg).
The red egg (also referred to locally as salted egg) is perfect if paired with tomatoes, and diced green mangoes. The saltiness of the egg will compliment that bland taste of tomatoes, and will balance the sour taste of the mangoes.
Subscribed! Welcome to our homeland, your second home! Salted egg is normally eaten with Jasmin rice or any white rice, and a side dish of diced fresh tomatoes, cucumber, coriander salad. Enjoyable and have more fun, it's really more fun in the Philippines. Watching from Saudi Arabia. ❤️🇵🇭
I love how you are both exposing your children to these very new experiences and food! and i lovr how positive you are. Your children are so blessed and fortunate!
The salted egg (red color) is normally eaten mixed with minced tomatoes and then it's eaten with rice and partnered with dried fish or fried meat like pork or chicken. 😊
Welcome to the Philippines! We're glad to have you visit the islands. ITLOG MAALAT or salted egg. I won't recommend that you eat that straight and in bigger volume because it's very salty. It would be good to mix it with tomatoes and onions with a little twist of some lemon to balance the saltiness. Truly yummy with rice. Filipinos love it.
You got it right, I also heard that from a foreigner vlogger. "I you really wanna know the people and the culture, GO TO THE LOCAL MARKET not in a Mall."
Wonderful to see your boys love Filipino food. I should say you had a hard start with the salted egg (hehehe)... Filipinos seldom eat it just like that because it is salty. You have to eat it with some tomatoes and onions and eaten as a side dish. Enjoy!!!

Hello and welcome to the Philippines! That egg you tried was super salty, wasn't it? We usually eat it with slices of tomato to cut the saltiness.
majority of the dishes here in the phil is eaten with rice to counter its strong flavor😊 lovely family.. enjoy your vacation and stay safe!!!
