    Fear. It was that simple. Voldemort being back would mean trouble for the wizarding world that they hadn't seen for fourteen years and it was easily and infinitely preferable to believe everything was rosy while people got murdered right under his nose. Then there's the fact that Voldemort couldn't really broadcast his return because his little comeback party in the graveyard went wrong on him. He had to be quiet now that Dumbledore knew he was back in the building.

    What I like about Fudge as a character is that he is a unique kind of 'bad guy'. At no point is he 'evil'. What I find best about his character is the fact that Dumbeldore was in fact creating a secret army to take on the Ministry, and Ddore was in fact hiding important information he should have shared. In most stories, even when the bumbling was innocent they usually still end up becoming EVIL so the good guy is justified in killing them. I like that at no time did Fudge become EVIL, he was just right about Dumbeldore, but wrong about Riddle, and all of his boobery and corruption coes from that.

    I think that a part of it was denial, because he didn't want to admit or believe that Voldemort was alive. And another part was that he was enjoying the power trip that being the Minister of Magic gave him. He doesn't want any of the British witches and wizards to doubt that he was the man for the job. He hated that he was not the first or even second choice for Minister either. If he had any sense, he should have taken stock of what Dumbledore said about Voldemort being back.

    Make another video about What if Fudge joined the Death Eaters.
    Here's how I would see it:
    After finally seeing Voldemort in the Ministry of Magic with his own eyes and being forced to accept the truth along with being sacked from his position, Fumbling Fudge had finally snapped, feeling absolutely humiliated that he was forced to accept the truth about Voldemort's return and blames both Dumbledore and Harry for losing everything, ranging from his credibility and his desire to be in control of everything other than his treacherous acts and atrocities he had committed against not only his country, but countrymen in the wizarding world. Fudge would throw a temper tantrum, trashing his home and presumably his old office in a fit of hate and anger, and later plans his own personal vendetta against both Dumbledore and Harry while joining the Death Eaters.

  • @paradygmshift7826

    The thing about Fudge that pissed me off more than his stubbornness was the fact he and the rest of the Ministry were smearing Harry's name. The way I saw it was that all Harry did was mention that Voldemort was back and Dumbledore was the one causing problems for Fudge. So them making fun of Harry for no reason wasn't just unfair it was petty, a group of government officials poking fun at a 15 year old in order to stroke their egos.

    • @paradygmshift7826
      @paradygmshift7826 3 года назад

      @Ariean Troy for sure. I remember during the trial when he brought up the Aunt Marge incident I was like "seriously you straight up told him when it happened you were cool with it! And now all of a sudden you're using it against him?" It would've made more sense for them to discredit Dumbledore the whole time because then no one would believe Harry anyways, they just made him look bad for no reason. That's why Order is my favorite book because it's so satisfying to see things turn around once they get going. And Fudge gets what he deserves in the end as well.

      So sorry for the confusion. Meant to say was "Not" included in the movie. Bad texting on my ended. What also was not included was Dumbledore sending Sirius out to contact Lupin and speaking with Molly and Arthur to contact those they know in order to re-establish the order of the Phoenix to fight against Voldemort and the death Eaters. With that scene from the book not in the movie it makes the beginning of the next movie that much more confusing to understand the connection for anyone who had not read the books.

    One of the most important qualities to have, especially as a leader, is the ability to admit you were wrong. This is a quality Fudge did not have and therefore, even if he wanted to say that he'd been wrong, he would not because he wanted to keep his job. The problem is you need to keep the public happy, but you have to keep them safe, and often that is not the same as keeping them happy.

      probably not prescience or whateber but just unlucky, that a virus happens to become a pandemic in a time where europe and some american countries (brazil, US) happened to be slipping back into the hands of loud poppulist parties, and a general tendency towards poppulism rather than good leadership...
