  • First 2000pt game in this series and it was in a pretty challenging environment.
Recorded at Battlefield Hobbies, Daventry UK, during a crazy busy day. The place was packed and noisy.
Overall, I hope it is worth watching, as this is the best I can currently produce in "tournament" conditions.
    Game recorded 28.12.22

36:56 And Barry keeps doing it wrong :-). The charging unit has to form a battle line. 55:17 Initiative first, then Home Back.

At 5:40 you are correct Barry... If a single stand is within 20cm the unit gets to do an Initiative charge. The unit that gets an Initiative charge then gets a full move to get into contact (but for flyers that would be 60cm...). On page 23 it says that you can Initiative charge enemy units within 20cm but it never says that it changes the units movement distance. And on page 21 there is no mention about such a situation either about moving the stands.

Who ever made the printed mats underneath the terrain needs to start selling copies on eBay. 😊

I think Paul "The man who would be king" G, was really pushing the envelope in his game Vs Steve. Good discussion points raised though :)

Good batrep, and beautiful table, but my Lord you have a lot of terrain on this board! This would scupper any non-infantry list, I'm sure, even Barry's cheddary 10 Silver Helm army...

Indeed. Paul set up the table but there is WAY too much terrain. Probably twice as much as needed.

Great report and lovely terrain! Although the prints beneath the terrain pieces are nice it's a pity that the pieces have to be removed in order to be able to play :/

I agree but, as lovely as the terrain is, it is completely impractical for gaming :)
Thanks for the comment and for watching!

I want to start Warmaster. Can't decide between Vampire Counts, Orcs & Goblins, and Chaos. Help!

You can win with anything (and lose). Of the three you suggest I think Vampire Counts are the strongest army.

At a gaming shop. Other informal games are going on around us.

No sir, just a playtest type day for about 8 Warmaster players. The place was properly rammed though and very noisy. Hopefully people think it was worth the effort of recording and editing.

It was. For sure! I’m getting back into Warmaster with a small crowd of 8. These battle reports help keep me motivated and learning the rules!! Good on you!
