As a new player, this is exactly the type of intro I was hoping to find. Thank you for this, on behalf of myself and my upstart wargame group. It'll make these learning games less painful.
Thank you. Somehow Nurgle delayed me getting into the game and this one made me smile. My Goblin force is steadily growing and some Kislev opponents are getting prepared to face them. Your videos are a really nice addition while painting them up.
Just stumbled across this. I have lots of these minis from the past and wasn't aware that people were still playing. Good to see, keep up the good work.
Thank you for this "How to" BatRep! Would be nice if you manage to do more of these as we starting to get into Warmaster and need some material to look at!
I have never used the revolution rules only the original Warmaster. It seems that infantry can now pursue cavalry and flyers. Is this correct? If so are there any caveats to this rule change?
great video! I have some questions to understand better the game: -In minute 23 the demon chariots charge the slingers from the rear, cant they envelop from behind with the other unit? in the video doesnt enter combat -When de chariots are charged, cant the call support from the other chariots behind them? Minute 33 aprox. -in minute 46 the infantryis charged by the demons, why 4 of the enter in combat? should be 3 only i think in 1:00 hour the demons charge by the flank to the chariots, cant the envelop them?
Thank you for your questions. Here are the answers; Minute 23 - the chariots are charging the front of the slingers. They have to form a battle line in the Slinger's front edge. When they pursue the retreating slingers they have to move stands straight forwards into front edge contact with the slingers. One stand can't do this due to the wall blocking their pursuit so they get to move to the other flank. You can't break the chariot unit's formation in order to get around the rear of the enemy. Minute 33. No, the chariots can't support. Only Infantry can support in combat. Minute 46 - Five stands of daemons are fighting three stands of warriors. Units touching corner to corner also fight. Minute 1 hour - No. You may only do an enveloping charge against the enemy if the front of your base is wider than the side of their base, AND the charging unit is normally able to pursue the enemy. Infantry cannot normally pursue chariots so they can't envelop them. I go into more detail about combat in the following video series; ruclips.net/video/kHkALMWUVAw/видео.html And this one too ruclips.net/video/3tTTEhRP-q0/видео.html
@@iainmstanding Thank you! They were the exact mini I was looking for a Kings of War unit. Your videos got me very interested in warmaster that I hope to find some people to play with as well.
Wait, the druid can summon a fennbeast? Isn't that the dark emissaries thing? Given that the are part of the Albion list, I'd expect druids to represent Truthsayers.
In the dark shadows warhammer campaign fenbeasts could be taken by either side and both truthsayers and dark emissaries could heal them with a spell. So druids can represent either type of Albion spellcaster.
@@iainmstanding I stand corrected then. Iwas remembering them to be somehow connected to the emissaries, at least in the lore. Seem to have been wrong though!

Only when charging in the flank and rear and only for one round of pursuit.
