I like DLombardo, however with Eric Moore being his predecessor to say ST even improved is nothing but fanboying. And ST had many drummers I would describe as being better fits than DL. DL was Slayer's best fit though.

love them since 40 years... i´m a fan since their first hit "possed to skate" and saw them last week at the ruhrpott rodeo festival in Hünxe, Germany... saw them a lot of times... its every time an honor to see them... ST ist still the Band with the most power intensity, power an energy on every festival... thank god that i could see them sometimes
Absolutely brilliant, it only seems like yesterday when I saw ST live for the first time. It wasn’t, it was October 12th 1990 at Ingliston Exhibition & Trade Centre in Edinburgh. It was The Clash Of The Titans Tour with ST opening, then Testament, Skayer & Megadeth. Now that was a class line up and it was my first ever gig into the bargain!

Me acuerdo cuando vinieron a México en el Force Fest, antes de ellos estaba tocando Moonspell, un show aburridísimo que la verdad me estaba durmiendo (no es broma), tanto así que me dormí unos minutos y se preparaba la siguiente banda que era Suicidal Tendencies. Yo seguía dormido hasta que la gente empezó a gritar, apagaron las luces y pensé: "a ver qué tal esta banda" (ya que cabe mencionar que nunca los había escuchado, ni los conocía, ni nada de nada. Cuando salen todos sus músicos empiezan a romperla y todo inició con "You Can't Bring me Down", suena esa canción y todo el sueño se me fue, ya estaba más que emocionado y con la euforia a tope, pensé: "¡verga wey! Estos tipos prendieron a la gente bien cabrón". Jamás me volví a dormir el resto del festival, me gustó tanto su show que estuve complacido en conocer su música. Como dato curioso final, en ese concierto el baterista era un gordo masivo afrodescendiente, ¡Qué baterista la puta madre! Una bestia en su instrumento, un gran carisma y con buen feeling en todas las canciones. Una de las bandas más maravillosas que pude presenciar en ese año y un recuerdo que jamás podré olvidar, hasta la piel se me eriza porque recuerdo muy bien ese momento. ST, ST, ST... Pledge Your Allegiance!

It’s kind of mind blowing to think of the band I stumbled across in a record shop in Perth, Australia in 1985 is still playing those songs to all these people in recent years. For a while when they started they couldn’t even play most clubs in L.A. because they were thought to be affiliated and would bring violence. Ah, the fear of punk and hardcore in the early 80’s. The first one and Join The Army are just epic recordings for the ages. Lights, Camera was there step into polished and they actually pulled it off. Great record.

With Dave Lombardo on board, Suicidal Tendencies just got even more kickass.
