Gai-jin S1 - (Noun) Foreigner / Outsider
A tale about a foreigner who woke up in a mysterious land covered in mist.
As he was looking at his surroundings, he bumped into a kid named Riku, who had a broken wooden sword. Riku was excited because he'd never met a foreigner before. Riku later invited him to his home, and the foreigner met his family, but...this was no ordinary family as they were Samurais.
As the foreigner peaked through the branchy hut, he saw a dozen more just like Riku’s family; it was at that moment he realised he was in the Land of the Samurai...

Gai-jin S2 - (Noun) Foreigner / Outsider
It’s been a year and 3 months since the foreigner arrived at the Land of the Samurai.
The epic sequel continues where our young hero Rai is on a quest to find his way back home and regain the memories that he once lost. Learning the way of the samurai, Rai has become highly skilled in his swordsmanship under the tutelage of Hachiro Sensei. Rai has matured but understands that there is plenty more room for growth. During this time, on top of the vibrant Yama no aki, Hachiro reveals some clues in regard to how he can return home.
He explains that in order for him to go back home, he would have to face the shogun of this land in a 1-on-1 duel. That’s all he is able to share, but what Hachiro and Rai don’t know is that the shogun is also a foreigner, and as to who the foreigner is, well…it happens to be Rai's brother.

when we hear a character with a broken bokken named riku.... does this mean the legend of black hand riku the slayer of 1000 men, demon in a man's body? it was said of him that he broke many bokken training because he would drive the bokken so hard it turned to splinters, he even killed a man with a bokken because of this. pretty sure ghost of tsushima included him in the iki island expansion but dont quote me on that. if im wrong and you just picked riku just because then i retract everything i just said.
