B A N G - O N !
Zero minutes... I work from home. Leaves me plenty of time to watch your videos. Thanks for sharing what you do!
My uncle is a Subcontractor for a major GC company out of Alabama he builds and remodels (demolition, framing and occasional sheetrock here and there) mainly doing them yellow "M" restaurants. By saying that we are located in South Georgia and we have gone as far DeRidder Lousiana (11hrs drive) and we have been all over the place in Alabama, Tennessee, South and North Carolina, Mississippi and recently Kentucky (I didn't go that last one) . I quit working for him as I got tired of the being away home but honestly is amazing experience; all the travel, meeting different people ( different crews, people at bars and restaurants etc etc). My uncle knows from bottom to top of the house : foundation, plumbing, framing, electrical, air conditioning and all of the rest I been waiting to learn all of it but I'm not gonna lie it gets though at times, like one time we had to work overnight under 20f temperature trying to finish outside structure and wrapping it. Major respect and Your Work is your signature you best believe it 👏👏👏
That Construction Master is worth its weight in gold.
Windshield time pays just as much as shovel time!
I’ll drive as far as they want me to. I have a company truck and I get paid for drive time.
like your new intro
Have to stay in the spirit! Glad ya like it.
I hope you are feeling better, Bud. Working sick sucks for sure - it's just one of those things we have to muscle through.
Something is definitely better than nothing, keep the videos coming!
Love that morning attitude, it is a damn Good Day.
Enjoy seeing the progress man.
Yea buddy you guys are killing it on this build.
Digging the new intro too tis the season
Glad you like it! It'll keep me in the spirit until Jan. 1 comes along.
I like the new intro! Drove for a total of 3 hours a day in my boss’s old beat up F-350. But the drives were all worth it, built a dope house on the edge of a mountain overlooking the town. Keep up the videos man!
I live in culpeper Virginia. I get up 3:15 am leave my house bout 4 am pick up few guys. Drive to Washington DC we usually get there bout 6:45 we start 7 am
8 hours was the top for me... though only driving weekends. rented apartment across the street from the job site during the week.
QUIn this was your time to step up big dog! Make yourself shine or be half of your brother ! Good job boys . Sick or not footage was still good Mathew . Oh yeah btw that Christmas intro was fire 🤘🏾
Live in SLC Utah. As a GC here I like to not take jobs with more than a 45min drive one way, but for the right client willing to understand the additional time needed/higher budget for extra drive time I'll do the job.
Hi Matt. Hope you feel better soon!! Enjoy the day. Ray L
Matt with the new holiday intro, bang on.
Way to work through it. It ain't easy. 👍
Defenately not boring
Carpenter in tiny town in Canada if I leave at 640 usually i can get coffee and get to site b4 7am start time.

Lol not the most boring.
One step at a time
Kaizen
That cut hub is cool aye
I did drive almost 2.5 hours one way. Sucked. Luckily was only 4 days a week but for 6 months. Also, still waiting on #Mattstache.
Another great video. Them some serious walls. Love it. Travel to job no more than 2 hrs each way unless its silly money. Question for you. The Diamondback tool belt, you have been rocking it for a bit ,honest opinion on it. In looking into jumping into one. Thanks and always Bang on bro. 🤘
Hey it was not boring. I love some work flow videos. How did you square those take walls?
Love the intro
I drove 2 hours 15 minutes one way when the crew and i framed a fed ex in pontiac mi.
11/2 hours to 2, sometimes stay at the local casino or hotel for a night to to to get the job done and save gas!! But who cares where your loving life doing what we do best BANG WOOD
If I were going to spend 3 hours on the road each day to drive to and from a project it would have to be a big job that was very profitable. Also, not being familiar with your area, is most of your driving time because of traffic or just distance? I know in some cities it can take an hour to get across town when it wouldn't take 10 minutes if there was no traffic.
My boss lives 3 hours each from our warehouse, and that’s a static site, me I moved house so I could rollout of bed and walk to work 😆
As laborer... no more then 45 unless I'm compensated
As self employed 1.5 hrs
I have driven 6 hours round trip to work for 8 hours, it was a drag. Now don't even leave my house, :)
A L M hahaha
Sick ass intro that’s on me
Sick intro
i wouldn't do it, but my moms coworker drives 2 hours to work and 2 hours back everyday. lives up in maine and works in Massachusetts
Does fox drive out there each day with his own vehicle or company truck?
We all drive personal vehicles, we don't have company trucks, not big enough to.
Hope you can explain it a little bit about the top plate..@ 4:30..... 184 1/2 inch of run, is that the total length or just half of the bottom plate? and 187 1/16 just half of the top plate?
I wish I would have explained better, soon in a different video!
Total plate length / 2, hit run, hit 2” pitch, diagonal. That’s your long to short or short to long #.
the longest 1 way I have driven was 2 hours but now I would do 1 hr is where I try to keep it but if the job is worth it I would be willing to bump its up to 1hr 30min but that is pushing it. Cash is king for sure though.
Shit is going around bro. I just got over it
3 hours round trip
Charge 0.79cents NZ per/km
Hourly rate while driving
A lot of apprentices in NZ are contractors paying and charging their vehicle expenses for long distance jobs
Isn't it common practice to run sheet goods perpendicular to the framing for the added strength?
Hay considering your sick 🤢 you and mates are doing a great 👍 job and your prentice 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙👌👌👌👌👌p.s. get wall soon from mad max from down under 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I'm know I'm really late with this but you could have drank some grape juice or wine to clear that up!!!!!!
What nail gun is fox using?
how old is fox?
mattblockswood
We have jobs all over the place so I could be 45 min to three hours
Hey Matt how many packs of cigarettes does fox smoke in a day love your vids.
JharrrisS yes I wanna know too please
1-1/2 to 2 - i'm working on getting him to quit!
That’s nothing! I used to catch 2 ferries to get to work and 2 back. Roughly 4 hours of commuting
Is Fox Steven Tyler's son?
Nephew, but close!
@@MattBangsWood Tell him to say hi to cousin Liv for me 😂😉🤜
10 min
Unfortunately, I live about 30 minutes away from everyone else.. I'm guaranteed driving 20-45 mins.
