  • This week, I listened to author Brad Stulberg's interview. He notes humans have long focused on seeking homeostasis, yet he encouraged embracing “Allostasis.” Allostasis refers to stability through change. Can we continually adapt to be steady and stable in the unfolding moment? Yoga encourages us to turn in and notice the moment, a great starting point for Allostasis.
This week’s Thursday class will focus on “Allostasis and Resistance Stretching” as we flow through the class.

Thank you for your interest in these yoga classes. I agree inversions are wonderful and valuable! The ones I often include are legs up the wall and straddle fold, sometimes with a twist. The neck has smaller vertebra that can be vulnerable in inversions that weight the neck and shoulders and there are some concerns of loosening plaques in the carotid arteries with deeper inversions. Please join the live classes when you can! Namaste!
