The Vapors sounding so Jam. A month after this release I saw them supporting the Jam 👍👍👍.
It was so good I nearly turned Japanese 😉 Also saw the Lambrettas in Bournemouth in 80.
I once had that Gen x on 12" with as bright pink cover. I've never been able to find it again with that cover!

Lol they really do, Pretty cool you saw them live though. And the lambrettas too? Cool stuff mate. I'd love to have the Gen x single too, If I spot the Pink cover i will let you know. I've found some real bargains at the local shop.

AC/DC can hardly be called a sucky band based on one or two failed chart songs. Even after the death of Bon Scott in 1980, he will be remembered by fans everywhere. Seeing them perform live in November 2015 as part of their Rock or Bust Tour was wild. Unforgettable experience. 🎸🎸

I personally love ACD.DC, definitely NOT a sucky band. Unfortunately most people didn't know who they were until after Bon passed away, If memory serves the songs were originally released in Australia on 1979. Awesome you've seen the live, i could never afford it.

@@NotSuitableForMum Expensive ticket but worth it at the time. Nice and loud (the way rock should be). 😊
AC/DC's first album released in Australia in 1975 was High Voltage, followed by Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976), Let There Be Rock (1977), Powerage (1978), and Highway to Hell (1979). All of these have Bon Scott on lead vocal for most songs. Their Back in Black album in 1980 was dedicated to Bon. 😇
The most popular '70s AC/DC song (besides those on the above-mentioned albums) is "Jailbreak" (1976) although some Aussies argue "It's a Long Way To the Top" (1975) is a better song (because it features bagpipes).

@RoughJustice2k18 I can see how passionate you are about the band. Good on ya. I have back in black on CD, I really should get some more or at least a best of.

@@NotSuitableForMum Finally I would just like to say, you did an awesome job compiling these "non-top 40" songs. 😎👍
Any chance of '70s and '90s non-top 40's lists (in the future)? 🤔

@@RoughJustice2k18 60''s and 70's have already been done and are in the playlist. 90's will definitely be featured as possibly my favourite decade for music. Hopefully ot will start around November,
Thanks you for the kind words iT takes a bit of research to do these so glad someone else is enjoying these as much as I am.

Listened to AC/DC and Ozzy backmasked and now I feel like I’ve had a conversation with the devil 😂 Some really decent tunes in this one, including a couple I’m surprised didn’t do much better

Ha ha ha! Maybe you already have mate. It dio make me chuckle that those two of the songs I had to reverse. It is quite surprising at what did well and what didn't. Part of the fun though.

This might be my favorite one of these you’ve done just for the fact of how you did that AC/DC song, they are my most hated rock band so that was definitely the best version of any song they have ever done! LOL 😂 😂 😂 The Scorpions was a pretty cool band and The Zoo was a good song!! Oh no not Mr Crowley too now that song and of course Ozzy freakin rule!! And Whip It now that one I’m surprised wasn’t a bigger hit! I guess you got copyrighted on a good amount of these songs?

Surprised at your reaction to AC/DC. Any reason why? Yeah the copyright police were all over this one.

I'd say it's a question of personal taste, but as far as studio albums go, Ozzy Osbourne's "Blizzard of Ozz" didn't chart at all in Australia in 1980 while AC/DC's "Back in Black" peaked at #1 (it made the top 40 in several other countries as well).

@@RoughJustice2k18 I've never listened to a full ozzy album, apart from Paranoid iwth Black Sabbath. I gotta lot of respect for both bands and him though.

@@NotSuitableForMum wow just now saw your comment weird. I just never liked AC/DCs vocals, I’ve always said it sounds like he’s constipated and straining to push it out 😂 plus every song of theirs sounds exactly the same and all they do is repeat the total of the song or main line of the song over and over. I have so many friends that love their music and I always ask them to say any other lyrics from any of their songs besides that chorus and none of them have ever been able to actually recall any other lyrics. That’s just my opinion of them, I’m a huge rock fan and I know I’m definitely in the minority that feel this way lol
