- The updated E-Pace is here and Jaguar has made some big changes. On the outside you will discover a new front fascia, grill and wheels. On the inside you will be greeted by leather seating and a new infotainment system. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 producing 246HP & mated to a 0-speed automatic transmission. I love my Jag E-pace!! I paid $39k for a fully loaded 2020 that had 6k miles and came with the full warranty and servicing. It drives much more like a sports car than an SUV, and it looks freakin' awesome!! Best looking SUV in my opinion. Mine is red with ivory interior, and there's nothing that I don't like about it except for the crappy gas mileage. I also like some of the Porsche turbo models, but they are high dollar for sure!
I'm considering purchasing a 2021 CPO E pace with 50k miles (but warranty covered for 36+ months). Could you please share your experience over the past year? Thanks
Any update?? Looking to buy a E pace 2020
@@mariahlacey2099 ended up not buying it. For 2020 I'd guess your warranty would go till 2026 and 100k miles (if it's a CPO) which is cool if you get a good price deal.
In our case, my wife and I went ended up opting a bit bigger/comfort setting than sporty and got a CPO Tiguan R line for a much lower $$$$. It's low on power (and you can feel it) but very comfy for long drives and has great interior for the price. E Pace would be a nicer option if you intend daily commute and sporty feel imo. Good luck shopping!!
2:32 The second zonk on the front grill is where the fog lights were meant to go, but on the tester, they opted out :)
Great review!
I like how the infotainment system is embedded in the car. Better than just sitting upright like other cars. It's more discreet which I love.
actually in the jaguar f-pace 2023 the way the infotainment screen in thin and a little forward looks so cool and luxurious.
In most other brands it look just like some glued tablet on top of the interior. There is nothing worse when things look so out of place.
Liked the review as I was considering one of these, the GV70, & an X3. I ultimately decided on the X3 cause it just felt right & had that connection. I would love to see you review a 2022 X3 just to see how it compares the Jag & GV70.
Black and white looks great on any car. Jags though look sexy with the white and black color combo
My first Jaguar SUV! Amazing review Joe.
I've just bought an E-Pace P250 with adaptive dynamics suspension. Combined with the great seats it was the most comfortable ride for long journeys out of all the cars I tried. And I tried them all! Best-looking too!😎
Did you try the F-Pace also?
Yes, liked it but the drive is more a long-distance motorway cruiser. E-Pace feels nimbler handling being a bit smaller, but with adaptive suspension, can switch to comfortable cruiser too.@@papagen00
Nice review keep up the good work
I love it my bro keep up the work and I love the video lot 💯
Thanks Dominic! You are awesome!
Looks quite nice!!
Was surprised the back row didn’t have climate control liken e GV70 does. Is that an available option?
Yes it is but it really should be standard at this price point.
For the record, regarding Jaguar reliability, I have owned two F-Paces over the past 5 years with NO problems whatsoever. I assume the E-Pace should have a similar maintenance history to the F-Pace.
I heard the same thing from other f pace owners. Awesome suvs.
Jaguar Reliability??? You've got to be kidding! I couldnt disagree more. Jaguars are notorious for being unreliable vehicles. Oddly enough there is a following, but mostly from those with British bloodlines.
This is my dream personal car, and the F-pace as a family car.
You're right on the wheel arch on this one, as I highly doubt anyone would consider using this on a rough road. But there's the reasoning for that flat black; it really helps against rock chips down the side. I'm thinking the GV 70 is more my style. Nice enough, though
It’s gloss black
Great job on Labor Day weekend
I love my 2021 E-Pace 250... I purchased it in the Jaguar dealership lot next to Land Rover, Mercades and Audi dealerships. The Genisis is a nice car but you have to go far down the bottom of the hill to get to the Hyundai dealership. If you don't know Hyundai dealership is, its next to Kia,

had a good friend of the family who worked on Jaguars in his own home.i remember being 5-6 years old trying to help him, more like being a hindrance😆😆😅.
But to this day I credit him with my love of Jaguars and keeping my rear end out of trouble.
He's a former aviation mechanic.now I think he does consulting as a business.
He was one of the few adults I could talk to without feeling awkward because it was about cars.
One day I want to get a last gen XK,The one designed by Ian Collum and drop in a v12 if I could find one that would fit
That thing is cool as heck man. Like I didn’t think I could like a Jag all jacked up.
Very cool brother! It's a cool cat!
Ok
@@RaitisRidesyessir it is.
My wife bought an E-pace about six weeks ago and LOVES it! I'm a Range Rover fan, so the similarities as being owned by the same owner are not surprising. I've got my eye on the RR Velar, and will get it probably first of the year, but based on your review decided to test drive the GV-70.
The dealer only had one on the floor and offered to let me test the GV-80 with the 6 cylinder engine. I did, it was too big.
They offered to test drive the base model GV-70. So I did to compare it to wifeys new E-Pace.
The GV-70 has more bells and whistles as Genesys/Hyundai is known to do, but when I punched the gas on the GV-70, the pedal went to the floor and took a bit for the car to respond. I've never hit the floor of the E-Pace and the pedal has way more resistance to it.
I could hear more noise in the GV-70, while the Jag is a quiet- smooth ride. Also, as nice as the GV-70 is, there was a "light" feeling to the car while driving, where the Jag feels "Heavy" and I love that.
Finally, the E-pace feels more luxurious where the GV-70 has a bit of a cheap feel to it.
I don't know if it was me being snobby at Hyundai, but Pete, you said to give my impression. GV-70 is now off my list, and I've driven pretty much every car in this class in the market while searching with wifey.
She wanted a Jag from the get-go, I kept Poopooing it.
But I'm loving her E-Pace even more now and happy she got it! ( I drive an X3)
It is always nice to hear from actual owners.
Raiti, my man! I’m glad you said what you said at 7:52 in comparing it to the 2.5 GV70, because I’ve looking at you sideways up until that point because I’ve had my GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige since June and this car is not on that level lol, I almost lost it at the engine specs lol…..
Hi joe..nice review as always..I know almost everyone in here comments about jag vs genesis gv70 and most of them going with gv70 because of style, looks and reliability but according to me jag is one of the coolest luxury vehicle in the market today..to be very honest with you if I want to pick between jag and gv70 or German cars, I would definitely pick jag, you could say my dream is to buy one of them near future, there is something that really attracts me to buy one of them but hey just to let you know it's not about the name that I would go for only
Fantastic review
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Great review good alternative
The only thing I like about the Jag over the Genesis is the wheel stance. The GV70 interior looks so much more upscale and sleek. Granted, I'm biased bc I just bought a GV70 lol. But I did look at the Jag and I just don't like how low the infotainment screen sits.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this Jaguar!
Ya but it still a Hyundai
My friend has one, no issues or mechanical problems for over 3 years now, and she doesn’t baby it neither, so the quality of the brand has improved a lot after Tata took over.
Just relooked at the Genesis GV 70 and IMO the Jaguar has nothing on the GV 70. The Genesis is so much sexier.
100% accurate. I recently drove the FPace (Not the E), and the GV70 Sport. The GV70 gives so much more. Interior, engine, exterior
i heard gene rode terribly stiff. i own an e-=pace and its not. not terribly. not lexus smooth but luxury smooth. and....it drives so fun! like i hate driving but i enjoy driving my lil monster. my beautiful monster
Also much more reliable. Much better wareanties and services. Better maintenance cost. Better technology. I’m not seeing any reason to pick any other car in this size than GV70. Unless I want to blindly stick to one brand. Which as world is changing, the car industry is changing too.
The genesis sure does look better IMO
I think so as well.
and more reliable*
@@moistydoooood with more options on lower trims to boot.
Also, about 50 more hp, a better track record of reliability, and 100k mile warranty
No
I see no speeding here…. 😎. Great review as always.
Moves nice. sounds amazing for a 4 banger.centre stack looks a little funny.
The passenger grab handle comes from the old racing cars and the co-pilot would hold a map with one hand while holding on for his life with the other hand (grab handle), Jaguar left it in the E-Pace as a feature
Hey Joe, great review on a fantastic underrated SUV. Now how about a review on the Audi TT, another underrated sports car. It's been over a year since your last TT review and Audi finally announced that they will still make those models for now, as many of us thought they were done with those ones! Would look forward to that one!!
I will track on fo the Audi TTs for you!
Such a amazing suv but in my opinion it’s kind of small
Nice review joe 👍👍👍👍
I think everyone knows the ‘fake vent’ on the back of the car would never be an actual vent but if everything was just smooth plastic thats when I personally think it can look cheap. Some texture in those moldings keep the design consistent.
Also, nobody and I mean nobody cares what their daily driver cars engine cover looks like. We don’t need to zonk those anymore lol
I mostly like your reviews. While I believe everyone is entitled to their comments and personal preferences, I dislike auto-journalists' negative comments about what they think auto designers creative outputs should be. I think that is up to the consumer to decide whether they like or dislike a particular design. Do you agree or not? The Genesis GV70 though, is way ahead in my humble opinion.
Great video
Great car
Money may not buy happiness, but I'd rather cry in a Jaguar than on a bus 🤔
Hi Joe, a owner in Singapore with the 1.5L engine model has send the car for repairs within 1st year use, braking issues and humming sound upon slowly down . Our local service factory couldn't settle the issues for a 2021 car .
Thanks for sharing that great info.
You should have Jaguar Elite Care, with a loaner. Your dealer must stink 🤷🏽
I don't know if its better than the Genesis, but it's certainly my preference.
Honestly speaking you should do another video with ZONK meter showing the level of fake styling auto manufacturers use to just boost the design.
You know showing their pros and cons etc . It will be a smash hit brother.
Just my opinion though.
Apart from that you always delivery the best in your reviews. I LOVED IT. 👌👌👌
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Another great video Joe and Lori. I’d go with GV70.
I’ve always heard you need to actually buy two Jaguars. One to drive while the other is being repaired at your mechanic garage 🤣.
My F-type has been flawless
Thanks!
Its beautiful but after my SQ5, no more 21” wheels. LOVE them, but not replacing every 10,000 miles. Got rid of it for a BMW X3. I regret it but couldn’t handle replacing tires so often.
This is the funniest review I’ve watched.
Those rims are incredible 😍 👏
They are super sized!
@@RaitisRides with extra sauce!!
It’s the censoring the speed for me 😂😂
That steering wheel is awesome 👌
They definitely did a great job with the re-style.
@@RaitisRides for sure 👍
Okay nephew Joe, the conversions are here:
Torque: 365Nm
Quarter mile measured at: 140kmh
Top speed: 216kmh
Fuel consumptions: 11.3l/100km in city, 8.47l/100km on highway
Weight: 1920kg
Boot capacity: 680l with seats up
Bring the metric as always! Thanks Dave!
@@RaitisRides No probs!
That color is awesome 👌 👏
It's a really cool shade of white!
@@RaitisRides agreed 👍 👌 🙌 💯
I just bought a G70 after considering the offerings from Jaguar and BMW. See, hyundai supplies the steel (yes, their own steel) for the cars, and developed their own transmission. Heck, even the ships that brought my car to the states (and the marine insurance policy) are provided by Hyundai. Now they are looking to build their own semi-conductor chips.
There is peace of mind 360 degrees, all the way down to the minute detail. I was going paranoid with the european brands I've owned as many parts are outsourced from low-quality manufacturers in eastern europe.
Front facia looks 👌 🔥
They made the right changes and updates on this E-Pace!
@@RaitisRides plus ➕ some!!!
Joe you are the car guy ! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Danny for letting me share my car passion with you!
Does the e-pace look more like the f-pace than it used to, or is that just me?
That is part of the changes Jag has brought.
You never going to get 10:years and 100,000 miles varanty in Jag!
There's a portion Jaguar buyers who prefers it coz of its agility and handling.. X5 will be a good alternate but every one ignores the STELVIO
Yes the Stelvio compares well with this. Really a toss up between them.
I have a stelvio and I’m stuck between getting the new stelvio veloce or getting this.
The Jag is kinda sporty but I wouldn’t pay that for a 4 Cylinder. I’m going GV70 V6.
I think it’s better looking than the Jag.
Great review Joe and nice job Lori!! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
You and I think a like Larry!
I think I will buy an off-lease alfa romeo
I love this
You are considering a Hyundai over a Jaguar?
@@jemorada2856 have you seen the Genesis??? There miles above this jag. It’s sad to say but it’s true.
Very nice 👍
Gloss black rims? 🧐 Not sure about that
I feel you man!
The compact suv market is huge. Genesis took their winners g70, gv80 and came out w Gv70 and be came motor trends, Edmunds,North America Mudfest winners! Plus 10yrs/100,000 mile warranty!
the e-pace is the same size as an x1/xc40/Evoque so why are you comparing it to the gv70?
Why does every car review title you do start with a question? And why am I also asking a question?
I spoke to someone few days ago that has a 2020 and said its an absolute lemon 🥴💀. Has had to fix stuff 4 times within only a few months of ownership and they aren’t a crazy fast or bad driver. Just something to think about
Like the looks but, still unsure of the reliability. Helped my mother in law get a GV70 and it's very nice gets looks every where we go.
Very nice👌
I looove the gv70.
I could be wrong, but I think genesis would have better build quality and reliability than jag.
I think many people would back you on that.
Fancy grocery getter said my wife 😁
Hey joe in your description of this car you put a 0 automatic transmission
This baby Jaguar looks really good.
I am so glad that you like this one Omar.
When it comes to Jags, you have to always consider reliability when comparing it to other cars.
@Antony Chekhov LIES, ever heard of Jaguar Elite Care 🤡
What brand are those rims?
I'm guessing a cop mailed Joe a speeding ticket with the block on the speedometer during the "on throttle "
If only the new F-type had those updated iconic headlights. Missed opportunity.
4 British scones and a cup of tea....brilliant!
Love the interior color but Damn can’t do that color if you have kids
Why does your logo come up in the middle of the video? (Blocking the dash)
In my opinion Jags and alfa romeo have always been the coolest looking cars
I really like the Fpace but would never buy one due to Jag long-term reliability issues. The GV70 is 95% of the looks of Jag but the interior is better and the reliability is so much better.
Maybe but its a Hyundai.
This is never marketed much here; they sell a bunch over in Europe. However like all Euro brands, this is built to run safely at autobahn speeds so it will have a far better suspension setup than any American or Asian equivalent. This is meant to be the "E-Type" reincarnated as an SUV. It drives like a sports car so it compares to a Stelvio or Macan. A GV70 is more "Korean Buick" and will have nowhere near the dynamic capabilities.
It's nice but I think if I had to choose it would be the GV70 sport. I would get the EPace more for it's maker and recognition.😂 Very good review, Thank You.☺️👍
Keep up the good work. Maybe the camera woman can give her opinion on a car like this next time. 👍
I agree with the title Joe, this is much better than a GV70 in every way!
I am so glad that you are liking this Jag.
Honestly I agree
@@yes8032 Thanks brother!
@@RaitisRides always 👍🏽
I definitely have no regrets getting the GV70. Much nicer car than this
Can u tell me how was experience because I am thinking of getting that car
@@consumerstreams182 It's been good so far. I went to the dealership and they helped me out with everything. Test drove the vehicle and fell in love with it and placed my order sometime back in July because I wanted one and wasn't sure if the chip shortage would have been a factor. However I wanted the delivery to be for Sept 10 so it will be delivered to me then. In the process though the contract person at the dealership has been quite helpful and prompt with any and every questions I have thrown at him. I'll update or maybe even post a few videos once I receive it to say how I feel about owing it.
@@deec9502 ok thanks mate
I am waiting for the new Lexus NX to arrive, but this is a good comparison suv to consider against it.
Was looking into the jag but reliability has me hesitant. New NX next on my list.

@@RaitisRides it's epic 😎
I'm looking for an SUV to buy and this Jag made it to the top of my list just by seeing this video .. love everything about it! Was also happy to find out that it's a very reliable car.
Compared to the Genesis this has a more agressive rugged look which I really prefer
I love Jaguar, but this one I am not sure, prefer the old badge too
Great looking SUV but I’ll take the GV70. You get way more for the money, and a much more reliable vehicle.
I wouldn’t even take this over a Mazda3.
It's Jag you are, but I'll forgive you, smiley.
Can’t believe this thing is $55,000. I paid $35,000 for my 2021 Mazda CX-5 GTR. It has more features, better performance and is a lot more reliable.
I'm not a badge snob ..
I'll take the GV70!
Plus that Genesis badge is nothing to be embarrassed about!
Genesis badge looks like Aston Martin
They copied AM like everything else they make. I'd be embarrassed to drive a cheap copy but that's me. You do you.
I'm also the same.. I'd go as far to say I actually am attracted to brands that are not prestigious. I'll take an Acura over Lexus I'll take a Genesis over anything German. I do love the Jag F type as that is one of the sexiest vehicles but those maintenance costs and electronic gremlins would scare the crap out of me to buy it.
Isn't the F-Pace a better competitor to the GV70? It's dimensions and size is almost identical.
what are they like for reliability and servicing costs?
That is a great question Nick!
@@RaitisRides Hi Thanks for your reply, Do you have any information regarding the question? We are from the Uk and will be buying a car in May 2023 > I love all the videos that you provide.
The bang for buck on this car is great. Design wise, it is smooth and classy. Compared to the Genesis, it has one thing going for it the Genny hasn't got...the Gravitas of greatness, luxury and performance. On the other hand, Genesis has 3 things hanging over it, Kia, Hyundai and that $1.3b engine fire settlement a few months back.
I think you really nailed it with this comment!
Petty comment. Who cares about ‘gravitas’. Give me the better truck.
@@steveno7058
I think he's been trying to find the right time to use the word "gravitas". Don't steal his thunder 😏😏
If your definition of luxury is poor reliability, build quality, and materials, then yeah, I can see what you mean about this E-Pace or any Jaguar product.
Have you ever owned a Jag/RR product? Good luck fixing a radiator hose - they have to be sourced from GB and take weeks to arrive. Never again am I buying a british brand.
Love it. Looks great
I wouldn’t pick white as the colour. Looks too plain.
Updated interior is excellent.
Thanks Joe & Lori.
😻😻
Jags have always had a great reputation for design. The XK-E type is my favorite. Reliability? Not so much.
Why you hid the speed 16:53
Please compare everything to the GV70!!!
