I love the choir from this church, St. Francis De Sales Church in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. I listen to their singing every day as I'm getting ready to go to work and before I go to sleep at night. Der Ablauf des Kanons ist sehr interessant gestaltet, mit dem Summen zwischendurch und dem" Auslaufen" der Stimmen am Ende. So habe ich ihn das erste Mal gehört. Ich kenne und singe ihn seit meiner Jugend, heute singe ich ihn mit meinen Chören. Diese interessante Gestaltung macht ihn auch zu einem " vollwertigen" Auftrittslied mit hohem Anspruch.Das werde ich mit den Chören auch ausprobieren, vielen Dank für die tollen Gestaltungsideen/ -anregungen!

I sung this in elementary school around 1950's. Did not know what it meant and it.came into my head again this week. I did not know how to spell the words so I guessed and my phone did the rest. I do not know why I would not drop it and quit seeking more of its .meaning. One of my friends has covid and I feel this song is somehow a connection to today's issues in the U.S. and the world.

I remember that when I was high school choir, this was one of our various warm-up songs. I may be atheist now, but I still love this song. It’s so beautiful, especially when done by a SATB choir.

Ihre Version kommt sehr nahe an die Melodie heran, an die ich mich von früher erinnern kann ;). Daher ein großes Dankeschön an euch, dass meine Kindheitsgefühle des Songs mich wieder berühren! I enjoyed hearing it very much in my childhood and only recently heard their version. Their version is very close to the melody I remember from before ;). I sung this in elementary school around 1950's. Did not know what it meant and it.came into my head again this week. I did not know how to spell the words so I guessed and my phone did the rest. I do not know why I would not drop it and quit seeking more of its .meaning. One of my friends has covid and I feel this song is somehow a connection to today's issues in the U.S. and the world.

I remember that when I was high school choir, this was one of our various warm-up songs. I may be atheist now, but I still love this song. It’s so beautiful, especially when done by a SATB choir.
