718 looks like to much fun to be called work ! ....but that is work 😁
Obviously you have a good plan and feeling for how to thin these stands, keeping a good flow from stump to lay-down, and not damaging the "leave" trees. A good skill to have, and the forester(s) should be happy with the results they are getting from you and your crew. tks for the video today.
They ain’t fired me yet...guess we’re doing ok 😂
Bogged down sounds better than stuck.
Thanks for watching
That seat fix is just a natural pine air freshener for the cab!
But it made it rougher 😂
Love watching y'all I logged for over 30 yrs miss it wished I could get back into it
Haha love Thales back support
Doing a fine job
Like logging videos though. I worked out west in Washington state logging for 11 years. Loved it mostly. Running equipment anyway. Back in the 90s. Sure wish we had cellphone cameras back then. And earlier. Some of the footage of yesteryear logging would be amazing.
These toothpicks make the cardboard box’s most all of your online orders are shipped to you in
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas I don't buy stuff online. Are you offended by a little comment?
Not at all...explaining what we use the trees for.
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas well I wasn't trying to insult or anything. I'm no expert in logging. It was a great experience and wish I was still doing it sometimes. Where I logged was in Washington and we sent our trees to lumber mills. So it wasn't anything and everything and clearcutting. It was usually select cutting and had to be big enough to get lumber out of. Even our trees weren't always huge trees. You take what is there. I seen a couple other videos where you had bigger trees. Logging is logging. In glad people like you take the time to record and post videos. So people can watch, and see what is involved in harvesting timber and where the products they use daily; come from. So thanks .
Been doing it for 27 years. 3rd gen. Y'all was in some good pine
Hahaha I'm here because of snowrunner xD
Cool video Thomas and work safe out there in the mud

I didn't understand a word this dude said but I watched the whole video #interesting
How could you not understand?
i build wooden model logging truck replicas so i always enjoy watching your videos
I have a block of wood holding the seat in place on my old timberjack skidder
That nice low mileage Pete 389 for 35k that was a steal, this is why
If you think this is hurting a truck, you got a lot to learn 😂
Never stand close to a trailer when loading or unloading. Accidents happen, and, it serves no purpose. You never know when a tire or track might slip and flop the machine on its side.
Get Lil tractor with a sweeper for the road
Just found your channel love it, reminds me of when I stayed at parents home in Pearl River, Ms. Log trucks up and down US-11. Noticed in this video you said the "Parish" hwy, are you in Louisiana, since only state with Parishes. Also what mill were you going to was it one on Bogullosa, the paper mill, remember that lovely aroma. Really enjoy these videos. RLTW
In south west Louisiana....our mill is in Oakdale
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas Thanks I know exactly where it is.
You stopped popping up on my recommendation list I had to finally go to your channel I’d thought you stopped making videos but apparently RUclips just stopped sending you to my recommendation
on another note dont know if thats yalls truck or a contract truck. I was wondering how those full fenders hold up. I want some to keep mud off headache rack but am afraid of loader man putting one to close to rack, having to cut butt and dropping on them.
Full fenders work good if they are installed right. Get some thick diamond plate ones, they hold up well.
You probably already know Putting the logs farther over the front bunk would give the truck more traction.
I'm pretty sure Thomas knows all about logging and the little tricks...
👍🏻💯❤️
And oh my your cutters still broke 😳
Did you get all the blowdown stuff cleaned up in your area or is it getting too old to salvage?
Still picking stuff up. Areas around us will be doing that for years to come.
Where you located I want to work with yall
That's why I work for r Stuart timber
Huh
Need to clean cut that. What are you leaving 40 or 50 bacell era
70-90 just depends on the saw logs left
I jump every time popping tires back on
Thanks for watching
Gotta use that harvest king either it's just weak enough not to singe anything but it will bead a tire up
semi truck tracks

Thanks for watching
Put the duals back on the 718
It’s probably going to stay parked this winter
Logging toothpicks
Do you enjoy getting things shipped to you?
We have timber company land at the end of Our street, I’ve seen it thin and clear-cut several times over the years, it must be a cheap ass timber company because they never have added rocks in the roads and they get plain sloppy and the trucks get stuck every time it rains
Not every logger works at the quality we try to.
One safety issue I'm seeing..wear those hard hat's and safety glasses and ear plugs..be safe guys..
I believe anytime we’re doing actual work we have all proper PPE on and we’re not required to use safety glasses unless we’re using a saw or power tools.
I will say this though you guys are careful with your rigs
$150,000 trucks, dad will kill me if I’m not careful 😂
Better give him time to study for that drug test
😂
