Second guy had the truck pulled up farther. That always helps when drag loading tree length. It gets that rear standard at the back of the trailer out of your way. Nice timber for a first thinning!
Great video. Now im jonsing to load a truck. I find it fun as a driver and when you load yourself. It might get old running one all day though

Just had to comment. I love the channel and what you are doing. Logging is the best job. But I could not finish watching this video 1 of my main pet peeves in this world is loading a log truck with wood on it crooked. The butt of the tree will be in the middle of the truck and the top will be on the drivers side of a truck. When I load a truck or anyone loads 1 of my trucks all the trees have to be straight. And it takes about 7 minutes for me to load a truck in the same kind of wood you are in and making sure all of my wood is straight.

Great video. Great idea. Now you need Michael in it. Maybe this was a wakeup call for your guys to try to help Mickey out by trying to not get a lot of vines and other junk to the set. I remember you mentioned something about that.

It's not about being fats it's about being consistent but being fast and consistent is a plus specially if you are the only loader running and 5 trucks hauling a 100 loads a week but for sure that wood is the best light pole size wood your can move it way better and fast than big wood but for sure that some good handling wood I run a new 2022 tigercat 234B we haul all our wood to Jordan lumber company in Mount Gilead NC and we move around 80 to a 100 loads a week depending on the how far we are from the mill but definitely you did good logging brother keep up the good work you and the hole team cause it takes everybody to make it work
Who you log for
Both are pretty good but back in the day I wasn't too shabby myself. I wasn't loading tree lenght most pulpwood was cut in 20 foot length back then. I was able in most cases load 50,000 in wood in 15 minutes which for our area was overweight. But if stacked well could get by with that much. I miss those days spent my life running equipment. But back to choosing the second load guy did a better job. But the first guy was proficient at the job also. They both should be thankful though in my day I had to climb in and out of the loader to buck up the skids with a chainsaw then sort and stack. All while keeping the landing clear for the skids coming in. Long skids not so bad but when on short skids let me tell you what being the loader guy wasn't so fun. Sure would been nice to of had a buck saw.
Man that's some good looking wood! id rather mess with that than i had big saw logs. I'm glad you didnt do your anti pole trailer speech while y'all were loading this kind of wood. woulda been a hard sell. lol

I find yer guys east coast set ups strange, but ya all have plenty of room to turn them trucks around, so it guess it makes sense, still weird.

We have 5 for our company with 2 owner operators....so 7 total
Man I can load one in 2 min when wood is piled up like that and I turn 4 or 5 grapples. Full backwards and i run a ol 240b
Not loading 32 tons....if so, email me and I’ll give you directions to my job and $100 to show us.
