Yeah. Seeing em play Hey, preferably with frusciante, is just...whew, such a ride. ...but it still was good when they played it with Josh. Goodbye Angel's particular was one of highlights of the Josh Era live stuff, at least it seemed to get the crowd going wild at the end when they just TEAR into that wicked bass line, followed by joshs amazing solo...just imo anyways
Yeah I noticed he was much more in tune than in the past. He must have taken vocal lessons or something. Was really good performance by Anthony last night.
@@ecoRfan how would you compare last night’s show to those shows? I didn’t see any shows with Josh. My last show before last night was 2000 Californication tour.
@@rightchordleadership First RHCP show was October 24, 2006 in Philadelphia. Anthony was quite in tune that night. He was definitely more off-key during the Josh era, especially around 2012. I've seen them also in 2013 and 2017.
They sound tighter then ever Flea still droppin some of the meanest baselines , Anthony's vocals have managed to stay way intact, Chad just a dam beast on the kit allways has been , And John just a musical genius , He is way to smooth with it one of the great guitarists of any era!!!!!
This was by far the best part of the show last night. Two solo numbers, followed by a new song that they haven’t done in almost a month. And John freakin shredded that Hey solo.
This is a magical time to be a RHCP fan. I’ve seen them 3 times this year. Jazz Fest ( Frusciante’s first big show back), Atlanta, and Charlotte. I don’t take it for granted. They won’t be able to keep playing at this level forever, especially Chad. He will be 61 in October, and as a drummer myself at 50, it is very physically demanding to play like Chad hits them.
Such a great show Last night. Think I would’ve preferred that Charlotte set list but it really didn’t matter. They brought the funk, the heat, and the soul in Philly
I completely agree he has gotten better, he is an elite drummer. And the biggest reason for me picking up the sticks at almost 45. Best decision and one of the hardest to get going with the two torn rotator cuffs, AC joint separation, and hip labrum tear on my kick side I had when I started. 5 surgeries later, I’m so fucking close to being made whole. It’s been the most improbable, ridiculous, unbelievably hard and rewarding journey. I have a surreal feeling at times that has never left me, and I don’t believe ever will.
Was over a month since they last played it until this show. Didn’t miss a beat. This was my second time hearing “Hey” live; previous time was with Josh: night two MSG NYC.
@@ecoRfan it was a lifelong dream of mine to see them live I didn't really care for klinghoffer so once John left in 2009 I thought I would never really get to see the real Peppers lineup, I have watched like all of the concerts that they have on video and all the shows from the tour this year and I agree this may be in their top five shows they've ever played

To each is own really.. I went to both NNJ & Philly shows and both so equally awesome and special. I was happy to hear songs @ Philly that I didn’t @ MetLife.. Philly had a different vibe than MetLife. Any show on this tour with Frusciante back is special! 🤙🏼
@@solrak1969 I was at both shows also. Talk about completely different setlists. The only “wild card” song besides the set regulars in common was Soul to Squeeze. Everything else was different.
I could quibble with the setlist but to be fair, they did 5 songs off the new album. That’s a lot for a 105 minute show. I’m more baffled by the fact that they ignored MM entirely.
Theyve always catered to the mainstream. Its the reason their so big.. take what you get. If i gotta listen to drunk girls sing snow every show so do you! Lol
@@rightchordleadership lol last night i had to move my seat because this girl wanted to start talking during a jam.. luckily the nosebleeds are versitile.

Love R.H.C.P what's not to love about them. Although i would like a chat with who ever did Anthony's hair, he obviously likes it, had it like that for ages, and that mustache, idk just a strange look 🤷♂️ but wtf cares its Anthony Kiedis who's sang some iconic song's. But still, 🤦♂️
Quality of your video’s are amazing! I can’t believe they skipped bunch of cool songs like Dark necessities and can’t stop!!! Instead had to listen lots of boring new songs.
This concert was insane, still speechless. Can’t believe they played Hey

6:21 Me and My Friends
10:06 Pea
12:05 Your Song
