- Jessye Norman sings "Morgen" by Richard Strauss live at the spectacular inaugural concert of the 1991 Salisbury Festival held at Salisbury Cathedral's West Green.
And now we mere mortals must adjust to the loss of one of the greatest classical artists this planet has ever produced. The beauty of her voice, coupled with her exquisite, innate musicianship, has enriched all our lives for many years. Her extensive discography remains a treasure for Ms. Norman's many admirers, and her performances of Strauss songs and Wagner's Liebestod will accompany me for the rest of my days.
Watching this again after her passing is truly heartbreaking...! O God...
Well said.
Absolutely sublime in how she created the musical LINE. It’s a continuation of sound that isn’t interrupted...it is all a single stream of flow and conscious being that she creates. She was a goddess.
the exciting Strauss that Norman dominates with spectacular genius, without a doubt with a musical force that impresses, in addition to the most impeccable interpretive behavior. . . .

La verdad es implacable...
Nada la detiene , un rayo de luz nos toca y nos invita a vivir .
No siempre se vive , lo que es para nuestra existencia nos puede acompañar...
Es suficiente una mirada para decir ...
