- This glam-infused video was released on 16 April 1973 only as part of "James Paul McCartney" T.V. special, directed by Dwight Hemion. The "show tune" song "Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance" was written by McCartney himself. Leave your opinion on this in the comments. I enjoy the video, it shows Paul McCartney can dance.

I loved this tv special! I was like 14, 15 at the time and feel in love with Paul, his music, the Beatles and the English language. He was definitely the inspiration for me to become an English teacher. His music is still inspirational today. I am in my 60's and I have never forgotten this song - in spite of hearing it just once... Such a thrill to see this video now! ❤

This was my favorite moment on the "James Paul McCartney" TV special. Too bad he didn’t include it on one of his Wings albums - it would have been a worthy complement to his Fred Astaire-styled "You Gave Me the Answer" from "Venus and Mars." Encore, Paul!
Seems Looks like a joke this Jazz song of Paul McCartney is an outtake from the "Red Rose Speedway" album sessions and still today on 2023 , 50 years later is unofficial and unreleased song. 😟🎙️🎹👍
The video was officially released in 1973, and in 2018 it was re-released. So in a way it's an official song, it just doesn't have it's own audio-only format but it's attached to the video.
