    Super helpful video, saved to one of my lists for future reference. Nice work. You should do a video on the best video settings from the Mini 3 Pro too ;)

    Great video. Very informative for a beginner. Only critique you glossed over how to import audio. Just dropped an audio file, without explain what formats are usable, and if the likes of Logic Pro or GarageBand are compatible.

      I only use mp3 and wav audio. Not used Logic Pro or Garage band sorry

    I’ve tried so many different settings when exporting. Is using the RUclips preset the way to go in 18.6?

    • @JTechWP
      @JTechWP  11 месяцев назад +1

      RUclips 4K is generally good, if you want the absolute max quality then you could export as ProRes 4K. All depends on what you want to do with the footage. If its for personal use and showing friends, RUclips 4k is fine, for TV or movies higher quality (larger files) proRes

    Excellent tutorial, extremely helpful. Thank you. By chance Jon are you going to do a done hyperlapse from photos.

      Create a new timeline with the correct frame rate. Copy and paste the content from the first one (wrong frame rate) into the new one. Once you create a timeline and add media the frame rate is locked 🔒

      Used to have an old tatty looking wooden desk. My girlfriend say buy a new desk. Googled best gaming desk and got the biggest one I could find. Then filled it screens. No room left for a webcam. Luckily Studio Display has one built in. Could mount a DSLR camera arm on it I guess 🤣

    Packed with useful info and down to the point! Thank you mate!! Question for you, I'm coming from Final Cut and when you move/hover your mouse over the timeline it scrubs/plays the output video. Is this something you can replicate in Resolve?

    • @JTechWP
      @JTechWP  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, absolutely. Put your mouse on the playhead, hold the left mouse button, move the mouse left or right and it scrubs through the main timeline

    I have a great idea of what I want to produce. I know nothing. This video is really helping me get comfortable with Resolve 18. I do have a question! When you hit command and copied the nodes over to the other clips you mentioned "middle mouse click" what does that mean for us PS users? I dont use apple. Thanks!!!

    • @JTechWP
      @JTechWP  6 месяцев назад +1

      If your mouse has a roller in-between the left and right button, press the roller. If not you should be able to right click the clips and apply grade. Let me know if this works for you

    thank you for answering a lot of questions, however I still am on the free version, is all available or is it different on studio?

    • @JTechWP
      @JTechWP  9 месяцев назад

      The free version on mac supports 10bit video, not sure about the pc version. The editing process is the same in free or studio. If you are filming in the standard 8bit it will definitly work

    • @duuster-audio
      @duuster-audio 3 месяца назад

      @@JTechWP I am really not sure about that. I import dji mini 3 pro videos in standard format, 8 bit, but when I get 10 bit from the drone, davinci does not import it. It says media offline. I'm with the version 19 on MacOS Ventura. I'd like to experiment with 10 bit color grading but it seems I need the studio version, or I am doing something wrong, which is very much possible too...

      Change the project resolution, drop it from 4k to HD and see if it plays smooth then. Cog ⚙️ bottom right corner, project resolution

    When did you purchase Resolve 18 Studio
    ? I was JUST about to buy it, then the customer service told me that the studio does NOT include extra hardware. It does NOT include Divinchi Resolve Speed Editor or the Divinchi Resolve Editor Keyboard. Is this because Americans don't get extras? What's going on?
