  • In the Trooper Lounge at Planet Rockstock 2022, former Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley recorded a live My Planet Rocks episode with Paul Anthony in front of an audience of Planet Rockstockers. Always great to listen to Blaze speaking, he's a top singer and bloke, he always has time for his fans, to have a chat, a picture taken with him, sign an album, etc. Looking forward to seeing him a few times on his tour in March with Absolva.

It seems like in the last few years, Blaze has finally been getting the respect he deserves - including from some publications that did nothing but throw rocks at him in the 90s and early 2000s - and that's great to see. He's never had a bad word to say about Maiden even after everything he's been through (unlike some) and the fact that he's always kept his dignity and positivity is something to truly be admired.

I always enjoy hearing Blaze talk, be it RUclips or podcasts, the guy is so passionate about his music, he has a great personality and makes some brilliant music too, I have a few of his albums on vinyl including War Within Me which is brilliant, I love how Blaze never has a bad word to say about Maiden and always talks about his time with them very honestly, all hail The Blaze 🤟

Blaze is a legend and seems like such a great bloke. For me, he was just not right for Maiden but I’ve lays understood why he was given the job the time and respect the albums that he made with them, and like Wolfsbane and his other bands. Good health to you, Blaze 🤟
